Buried Alien

I generally never discuss politics because if there's one thing I can't stand, it's extremism and polarization on either side of an issue. I'm a centrist and I believe in objectively weighing the merits and flaws of both sides of any social or political issue. Unfortunately, there is a tendency towards polarization today...sometimes reflected in our own political discussion here at this forum.
So I went out to see if anybody on the World Wide Web saw the same problem that I did. Someone does (http://www.balancedpolitics.org/editorial-choose_the_middle.htm).
It's a good essay, and it does highlight a significant problem in political discourse today.

EDIT: upon further exploration, I find that the entire website (http://www.balancedpolitics.org) is very close to the way I consider and prefer to discuss social and political issues.
