Good interview!

Liked the ideas he had for Rogue, but there were 'other plans' for her. Wonder what that will be. Also the depowering of Iceman in really confirmed now!
Well read the rest for youselves at: http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/Decimation/HoMPostMortem02.htm

I'm sure Beast will be saddened to know that Bendis wasn't able to revert him to his ape'ish form.

That was a pretty good interview, I can't wait to pick up Deadly Genesis and the NA Annual now.

say NRAMA: Got a “for instance” of something that you wanted to do, but couldn’t?

BB: They seem minor, but there were a couple. I really was hoping to put the Beast back into the George Perez era blue kitty mold, rather than the lion guy he is now. I just wanted to take him down a mutation. I’m just a George Perez geek at heart.
Saddened, yes. But at least he wanted to do it. That certainly goes to prove that the majority of the writers want Beast back to his normal look. But they just don't want to step on Whedon's toes. Either Whedon will do it, or it will be done after his tenure on the book is over. Either way, I'm at least happy that he tried. :)

Iceman is too powerful (if you think of the things he could really pull off). I mean he could take out just about anyone in the right situation. "hmm, Spiderman, Wolverine, Daredevil, Captain America, and several others are standing against me." [freezes the entire area in a block of ice, killing all of them].

I would have like it if they had ask Bendis why he put Scott and Emma together. Yes I know how much Marvel is trying to sell to us thay they are in love and all  but really who's desire was that they be married and was it both of their or one of them. And if it was only one of them how come only one of them got it. I would think that Scott's greatest desire would be to be back with Jean again and for her to have not have gone though the whole Phoenix Saga thing. I wish they would have ask him this.

I would have loved it if Rogue would have gotton those powers. I think she would have been much more interesting but I guess Marts and Milligan think she is more interesting the way she is now.

I sure hope Marvel knows what they are doing with Wolverine. This good be very interesting to see him find out who he is if done right but when was the last time Marvel did anything right when it came to Wolverine.

Very good interview I must say. If wanda burned out her powers that is gonna be one big problem. Strange is gonna have a rough road ahead too.

Wouldn't it have been the same answer to why Xavier and Reed wasn't there?

Yeah, the thinking behind Wanda's woogie wasn't quite like a fairy granting a single perfect wish. It was "What would make these heroes happy and complacent enough to keep from making trouble for the House of M?"

I think the first and second parts of the interviews really answer a lot of questions as to why Bendis told the story like he did. Hopefully it'll take out some of the hate behind it all.
