My God, I'm tired!

I just got home. No sleep on the flight back to Philly. And now I have to go into work.

And yeah, we all saw koop on Wednesday night. He said he'd probably make it to the Weenie Roast but didn't show. I stopped by a few more times over the weekend but he wasn't at his booth.

If you call Koop, tell him I said hi.

I just want to say that even though I'm not posting here these days, I did very much enjoy seeing you all at Horton Plaza on Wednesday night, and I wasn't avoiding the Weenie Roast. I was just up to my ass in con coverage for CBR. If you go to the front page, you can see my article about the Warner CGI films and the Eisners, and my coverage of Dark Horse and Slave Labor's 20th anniversary panels should be up soon, as well as my coverage of the Spotlight on Kazuo Koike. I'm still editing my articles about the Veronica Mars, Stargate and Gail Simone panels.

While you were at the Weenie Roast, I was sitting in the lobby of the Omni Hotel typing until 12:30 AM and using their free wi-fi.

I had a really good time this year. Hanging with you guys was one of the top reasons why.

Sorry to everyone who I missed getting a chance to see.

Nicole and I are thinking that if we go in 2007 that we will go from Friday to Monday. Friday and Sunday would be our con days and Saturday our hang out day.

I'll probably not be an exhibitor again. Just go for fun. I had way more fun just walking around and talking to people than being stuck behind a table.

I forgot to ask if anyone wanted to be drawn as a background character in the book I'm currently creating.

It looks like I have photo reference for almost everyone who was at SDCC.

If you would like to be in the book, let me know.

Well, Comic-Con's over. I'm sitting at the hotel pool about to get lunch as I have a few hours to kill until my flight. Dan and Fabian left a few hours ago so I've been reading. A nice way to unwind and relax after the round-the-clock party that has been the past few days.

Huh. I went to Mexico.

BTW, Hi. I'm back.

And very sorry we missed you two on Saturday. We didn't arrive at the pub until about 6:30.

I'm sorry we had to leave early to check-in to our hotel and meet a local friend.

At least we got to see each other at ECCC. I'm still thinking of doing Stumptown one of these years.

I helped out my LCS this year.

Dear god, never again...

He got three booths and brought ten pallets worth of stuff with him.

Some of my friends were working for an exhibitor badge, but since I had already prepaid for mine I got store credit instead. (w00t! Store credit!)

There were so many people there and looking at (notice how I said looking at and not necessarily buying) stuff...

Did anyone else go to the Masquerade? Lots of video game-related skits this time around, and nothing to equal last year's Bender.

Oh, one of the highlights of the trip was a misunderstanding I had when I was talking with Kristen on the cell.

I called her up once Jade and I got our badges and asked her where she and the gang were. I couldn't hear what exhibit hall she was saying-- again, going deaf (ask Nobs about my awful hearing). Anyway, swear to God, I thought she said, "Exhibit Hall A...A as in asshole."

I was like, "Um, okay!"

As it turns out, she actually said, "A as in APPLE."

...apple...asshole...sounds sort of similar!

-----
Oh, and then there was the morning I jumped out of bed suddenly because I got a painful charley horse. "CHARLEY HORSE! CHARLEY HORSE!"
-----
When StoneGold drove me and Ron to the Weenie Roast, he accidently went down a one way street.

Good times.

I AM HOME.

Got back into Milwaukee at around 8. Came home and was all set to log onto CBR when I looked and saw that my moniter was not working.

Well now I am on a new monitor. YAY. The Zoo was cool but I was saddened by the lack of Wolves.

Oh and I want to thank everyone for another great year of fun. I could not ask for better friends then the ones I only see once or, if I am lucky, twice a year.

Brandon, I want to be in a comic. Badly. I would, in fact, make StoneGold swallow an ass-backwards porcupine to make it happen. That I would also do that for free is not to be taken as a lack of desire on my part.

Seriously, go for it. Use me in any way you want (that sounds...dirty, doesn't it?). And if you need a reference shot...

Let’s see so far I have

Dan
Kristen
Matt
Fabian
Jade
Lena
Brett
Aaron
Gus
Scott (I'll need a good reference shot for you)
Justin (I have some reference for you unless you want a more current one)

Basically you’ll all be part of a scene that takes place at a video game con. I’ll scatter you guys in the background over several pages. Since the scene is near the end of the book, I probably won’t be drawing it for another few months.

If you have any special requests, (ie if you want to be grouped with anyone) let me know.

Those two photos are enough to draw a background character.

I self-publish all my comics. Check out my site http://thegeekout.com/.
You'll be able to buy it at my site or at the various cons I will be attending next year. A few local San Francisco stores carry my books as well as Rocketship in Brooklyn.

The basic plot of the book revolves around four teens who play an MMORPG.
