Where do I start....

First of all how did Gambit come back into the Xmen....
Are refercnes still made bout this event?
Is Eric The Red still a character that is used?
This was Joesph last issue rite?
Why did Mags even care bout Gambit?
Whom was that lil girl in the book....

And did ya like the story?

just pretend this issue with retconed with House Of M. I do.

Retconning elements of the mutant massacre - argh.
Magneto/or someone as Eric the Red - argh
The fact the issue was two months over due so that issues released in X-men after-continuity wise shipped before it did ? major argh.

gambit came back after running into storm and kitty pryde fighting juggernaut in uncanny 361.
no, not really. it was last referenced probably sometime in 1999-2000 (maybe even lastly in the gambit 2000 annual, by warren), and probably within gambit's solo series at the time.
the 'eric the red' persona hasn't been used since, i don't think.
joseph last appeared in x-men 87.
magneto just wanted to create friction within the x-men at the time so that they wouldn't notice his re-emergence.
the little girl was nina, a mannite. she is best known for being where xavier transferred his powers to or something of the sort after onslaught. she later appeared in 'the hunt for xavier' storyline, and in astonishing x-men (2nd series). she wasn't a real little girl, but rather some sort of newly created life-form. last seen, some of the other mannites were evolving, so presumably she has as well.

No, everyone mostly pretends it never happened.

Is Eric The Red still a character that is used?

Well, he was originally an identity for Cyclops, then for a Shi'ar agent, and then (as you saw) Magneto. And no, the identity hasn't been used since.

This was Joesph last issue rite?

No, Joseph died during The Magneto Wars

Why did Mags even care bout Gambit?

Because Magneto cares deeply about the lives of mutants, and as he was a member of the X-Men at the time, he witnessed firsthand the horrors of the Massacre. If Magneto ever met up with an actual member of the Marauders -- Sabretooth, Scalphunter, etc. -- he would probably kill them instantly.

Whom was that lil girl in the book....

A bounty hunter/old acquaintance of Gambit's.

And did ya like the story?

Lord, no. It attempted to add an element to a story that didn't fit in... as in, Gambit couldn't have shown the Marauders where the tunnels were, because in the original story, they were clearly shown following a Morlock from L.A. all the way into the tunnels. So now somebody's going to have to retcon UXM #350 away at some point... or, as I said, we just pretend it never happened.

shit. i was way off. i am not sure what i was thinking.
nina did not appear in this issue at all, nor had anything to do with this storyline. i have no idea what i was thinking when i last posted about it.
the girl (spat) was apparently a former lover of remy's, who somehow due to gambit was continutally de-aging.
they made action figures of spat/grovel. other than that, they haven't been seen/mentioned since.

Isn't it really depressing that a milestone issue is devoted to revealing a part of a character's history that is a massive continuity error? :(

Sort of, but at the time I did enjoy the issue and it's not like #300 was any better (significance wise).

Y you point out that issue? Anyway; what happen to Neophyte? I forgot to mention him in a thread I was gonna made.

And 300 of Uncanny was good. I enjoyed eveything bout it.

Oh and thx guy. I just want to point out that I liked Beast in Xmen 350. So the relationship between Gambit and the others wasnt really touch upon? And how exactly how LONG was Gambit departure from the Xmen? I HATE that easilly resolved or not even cleared up. Even though he supposedly did what he did he still try to stop them and at the same time save Marrow (By the way; she dead?)

Oh and I seem to remember a issue where Sabretooth and Gambit was talking...Oh that was a flashback when both was in Paris rite? Arrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh; other than that Sabretooth never discuseed this wit the Cajun huh?

And what happen to the other Naruders anyway....They seem weak enough to be dead (And I know Sabretooth still prowl the streets.) I think a comic of him being a bounty hunter would be nice. A lil miniseries. He still in that profession rite....Going back thru my comics bringin so much memories!....

Im bout to read XMEN 1....I already read 2 and 3 and they all are awesome. No complanits other than I think Charles acted too irrational when Magneto stayed behind on Asteriod M. And I just dont understand how they workin together despite Mags history....Strange

Marvel dont need to keep reupping his charactors but infused some new ones. Same O; Same O. Ok; I understand you dont really wann mess up current characters but make new ones that can be twisted in and out so than new fans can marvel at...

While it doesn't fit well with the consistency for X-history, I must say that the character writing was extremely well done. Great introspective piece.

You have to read the last Gambit series, to learn alot more information about how he survive and came back, it was a bit tricky.
