Apathy Boy- Mirror Master, Jericho, Captain Cold, Gorilla Grodd, Turtle, Gog, Felix Faust, Ragman, Mad Hatter, Cain, Detective Chimp
K'Nort- Metamorpho, Psimon, Orion, Demon (Etrigan), Booster Gold, Sister Superior, Major Disaster, Unknown Soldier
Here is K'Nort's strategy:
Because it worked so well the first time around, Turtle steals the kinetic energy of the group around him. Something doesn’t seem quite as right about it this time, but he’s somehow not thinking very quickly either.
Grodd’s mental strength is as impressive as the physical, but he can’t concentrate on much of anything when all of Vera’s firepower is unleashed upon him.
A sniper bullet from the Unknown Soldier takes down Jericho’s body, almost certainly before he’s had a chance to leave it.
Felix Faust feels his spellcasting nullified by Etrigan’s superior arcane abilities right before he feels his jaw shattered by the swooping demon’s greater-still strength.
An inconveniently rupturing water main explodes to the surface beneath the landbound members of the group while a forcefield traps them in with the rising tide. Detective Chimp starts glubbing first.
If Grodd started out on a speed-blitz, he won’t be particularly effected by Turtle’s suction. Along with Superman’s strength and endurance, Grodd has the added edge of a willingness to fight dirty. So slowed or not, running up – hard – against Orion is like fighting himself. Except a self able to shrug off his trident to boot.
Mirror Master has time to think of something. Same amount of time it takes to implement the Turtle’s odd behaviour. But actually acting takes longer. Longer than a command for him to slash the hell out of his wrists with his own mirrors. And Rory is too much of a softie to ignore an injured teammate.
Metamorpho drifts above the battlefield in free safety mode, relieved his loathsome teammate, Psimon, is quite capable of remaining similarly intangible and self-sufficient. He has to work with him but he doesn’t have to like it.
Once everyone outside of it is incapacitated, Booster releases the force field.
Vera turns a flame thrower on Captain Cold, just because. The rest are knocked out by fists, bullets and energy blasts according to who gets to them first.
And Apathy Boy's strategy:
Gog teleports in and kills Psimon right off the bat.
Gorilla Grodd unleashes a full-out mental assault on on Major Disaster. If Disaster somehow manages to start an earthquake or something before he passes out from the pain, Felix Faust can levitate the members of my team to keep our game plan from getting disrupted.
As usual, the Mad Hatter goes after the prettiest, dumbest blonde he can find. In this case, it’s Booster Gold. With the Mirror Master’s help, Hatter can just pop out of Booster’s shiny shoulders and slip one of his hats onto Booster’s head. Hattter then commands Booster to trap Metamorpho in a force bubble. From there, it’s a simple matter for Jericho to make CONTACT with Rex and take over.
Gog dukes it out mano-a-mano with Orion. Pretty even match-up, I would think. Or it would be, if my team didn’t cheat. Jerichomorpho helps double-team Orion, while Faust casts some spells to take the Astro-Harness and Mother Box out of the fight. (Maybe through some kind of teleportation spell or by firing some kind of mystic energy at them.)
The Ragman attacks the Demon and tries to absorb him into his cloak. Etrigan disembowels his opponent and starts laughing maniacally… until the Mirror Master’s illusion wears off, and Etrigan realizes he’s just killed Cain (wearing one of the Mad Hatter’s hats to make him go on a suicide run). Y’know, Cain. He of “The Mark of Cain,” i.e. “whoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” Upon realizing what he’s just done, Etrigan pisses himself and frantically tries to turn back into Jason Blood, hoping the Creator will show more mercy to a human. He makes it as far as “Gone, gone O Etrigan…” when the clouds part and he is incinerated by a beam of white light.
Gorilla Grodd and Detective Chimp use their respective mental and detective skills (and combined monkey senses) to track down Sister Superior and/or the Unknown Soldier, if either of them is in hiding. (Vera Black has some advanced disguise capabilities, but chances are some animal or insect would be around to see her transformation. Once Detective Chimp finds that witness, he’ll know who she’s pretending to be.) Grodd and the Chimp instruct their team mates where to find them.
Captain Cold and Vera Black face off at 20 yards. Vera fires a couple hundred rounds of ammunition at Cold, and is stunned to see the bullets suspended in mid-air. “Cold-field,” Snart explains. “Stops everything in its tracks. Well, almost anything.” Cold points his gun at Black and fires. “You’re a fast draw, Black… but you’re not the fastest man alive.” (Oh, OK, if Black uses non-conventional weaponry I guess the Mad Hatter could have Booster swing by and zap Vera too.)
Ragman borrows the strength of a couple of people in his cloak and punches the Unknown Soldier out.
