Nice, but it does confirm one of the weaknesses, he had the idea for the start and destination, but made up the middle as he went along. I kinda wish he'd roped Whedon into helping plot it, or grabbed Busiek or Brubaker to co-write.

Yuck. Claremont said awhile ago that post HoM Wolverine is a lot less fun for him to write. So now that Wolverine remembers all of his past, and there are more stories to tell about his past, wouldn't that mean that we are going to have a higher saturation of Wolverine than we already have? :(

I'm thinking it's probably nearing time for Origin II.

I'm thinking it's probably nearing time for Origin II.If they are going to do this at all, it should be in his solo series. We don't need any more Wolverine than we already have. The character has become a joke. I hope Claremont drops him from the book and replaces him with Magma, or Forge.

It should make the solo more interesting. They should be able to jump around, doing regular flashbacks to different periods.
All it does teamwise, is give him fewer reasons to do the "I'm a mysterious loner who trusts no-one except attractive teenage girls..." routine, and forces him to actually interact with characters maturely. (It gives him a kind of wise mentor thing, while Xavier's off playing little goth chick...)

That's what they're doing in the next 12 issues of Wolverine's solo series.

Here's Part two of this Interview. Here's a little quote from Bendis. I this will make Beast a happy man to know this, although it could piss him off knowing it wasn't let in...

NRAMA: Got a “for instance” of something that you wanted to do, but couldn’t?

BB: They seem minor, but there were a couple. I really was hoping to put the Beast back into the George Perez era blue kitty mold, rather than the lion guy he is now. I just wanted to take him down a mutation. I’m just a George Perez geek at heart.

NRAMA: Some more specifics – Iceman is without powers?

BB: He’s without powers.

damn. something's not right. either bendis is wrong, we're misinterpreting that upcoming x-men cover, or bobby somehow becomes a mutant again in the next few issues.
either way, this sucks. iceman is one of my favorite characters.

edit: crap. i didn't see the x-men 177 preview a few threads down. so long iceman.

In New Excalibur #1 the characters specifically say he doesn't have powers, too.
