I see that this was mentioned at the Texas convention this weekend. Had this previously been confirmed? I don't remember it being mentioned before.
This series should be a lot of fun.

I've seen the rumour for a while now. I think Rich Johnson had it in an old Lying in the Gutters.
If this is officially confirmed, then I'm a happy man. Waid/Perez is an excellent team, ideal for handling a DC teamup book.

It was mentioned here. Seems like a confirmation to me.

I'm thrilled to know I could get a GP-drawn book every month, but I worry he won't be able to keep up the pace.
Maybe he could just ink over another artist with a similar style, like Dan Jurgens or Jerry Ordway? Maybe get two artists to alternate with GP doing all inks...?

He was pretty regular on Avengers. Speed isn't Perez's problem usually. He's just had health problems in recent years that have limited his output. Hopefully, that's all past now.

Well, it looks like DC have a top-seller on their hands then.
As for Perez's speed, he seems to be able to maintain a decent schedule when inked by others (Al Vey or Jerry Ordway would be my choice).
I might add Brave & the Bold to my pull list if they have great stories. I will buy the George Perez issues regardless.

Can't do much better than these two, especially on those characters!

I believe Mr. Perez is a diabetic .. that's for life.
However, Gingold, you may still be right -- if anything was due to his diabetes being out of control and/or associated complications these may have been addressed and hopefully corrected. Let's hope so.
Anyway, as for Mr. Perez being on "Brave and Bold" -- excellent news and this makes it a must-buy as far as I am concerned.

He also had a serious bout with carpal tunnel after drawing the cover to JLA/Avengers #3.

After JLA/Avengers and the covers to Identity Crisis pretty much back-to-back, I book with only two main characters must seem like a nice break for Perez. :)
Can DC Comics Presents be far behind?

George didn't do the covers to Identity Crisis, those were done by Michael Turner. George did the Inkson the Return of donna troy and now the covers to Infinite Crisis

I forget where i read it, but IIRC Brave & The Bold will be a bi-monthly book

Are you sure? Seems like when I heard that, it was way back when Kevin Smith was going to be the writer.

No kidding!!
Whenever I think I can cut out some titles and save some money DC (and Marvel too) announces a book that I just can't say no to (despite my girlfriends objections!) :D

LOL
Smith MAY STILL BE the writer... with his torrid (read: SNAIL) pace he should be about to pump out an issue to coincide with his next bad movie! :D
