I've read the first two issues of the Green Latern Corps comic, and so far so good. But, seeing as the last time I read about Guy Gardner was the final issue of his solo series where he was Warrior, an Alien/Human Hybrid it got me wondering about his return to status quo.
While I was a fan of that series, I know I was in the minority and that Green Latern Guy was bound to return. So can anyone give me an update of what happened with Guy between then and now and how the change back was explained (if it was)
Oh, and if you know what titles those stories occured in, please let me know.
Thanks

He was reverted back to a human and a Green Lantern in "Green Lantern: Rebirth."
I'd be more detailed but:
1. I, personally, still do not entirely understand what's going on in those scenes and...
2. I liked the story and think you should read it :D.

Why did his suit go back to being green instead of that blui-ish one that he used to have?

Baptism of Fire; Emerald Allies; Emerald Knights; New Journey, Old Path; The Power of Ion; Brother's Keeper; Passing the Torch; Circle of Fire...just a few. :)

When he had the bluish suit, he wasn't a Green Lantern. He was using one of Sinestro's yellow power rings.

Why did his suit go back to being green instead of that blui-ish one that he used to have? When he wore the leather jacket and jeans as part of his costume, it was when he had Sinestro's yellow ring in the early 90s.
He had left the Green Lantern Corps in 1992 after losing his Earth job to Hal Jordan in a duel.
He kept the yellow ring until Hal -- as Parallax -- was confronted by Guy, Alan Scott and a group from the JLA on Oa. In that fight, Guy's yellow ring was destroyed.
Soon after that, he got the Vuldarian powers on Earth and had those in his own series until about 1996, when his book was cancelled.
He then mostly appeared in the background during crossovers and "died" in Our Worlds at War in 2001 and was brought back shortly after. Until "Green Lantern: Rebirth" he was a background character.

I remember that. Did he recieve them somehow or did he just have them?
And after that didn't he maintain that GL bar?

And after that didn't he maintain that GL bar?He got them after drinking the "warrior waters" in South America and he had a superhero themed restaurant/bar in NYC that was destroyed in "Rebirth".

Yeah, but come on 'Warriors' has been destroyed how many times before, it'll be rebuilt by the time Guy Returns to Earth.
Basically the explanation in Rebirth was
that the fear demon that had possessed Hal had also reached out and attempted to tempt former GLs also on earth, for some reason when he reached out to Guy it affected his Vuldarian powers and it caused his body to reject them and his full human half won out, clearing away the alien DNA, then Green Arrow who was standing nearby with a power ring once given to him by Hal and Martian Manhunter watched as the GL duplicated itself and activated Guy as a member of the GLC again, but under Parallax's control. Eventually with Kyle and Ganthet's help Guy, Kilowog and John broke free of Parallax, Hal broke free with the Spectre's help and was returned to life and they freed the rings of Parallax's taint and whipped his damn ass
