This is one of my favorites right now. I absolutely love the artwork. It is almost beautiful, especially in the coloring. The characters look like they were adapted from an animated film. Like Disney and Don Bluth the characters look like their personality. Graphically they have features, exagerated or unusual that stylistically link them to who they are. The short fat blind monk has eyeglasses far too big for any head which makes his eyes as big as his head. Different characters have different types of eyes or mouths.

The story and voice/dialog is entertaining. It is one of the titles I look forward to.

The only problem is my local shop didnt get #3 in and I'm waiting for them to get it this wednesday.

you should love it, EF.

I too am enjoying this book immensely. The story is suprisingly good and the art just takes it over the top. Somebody knew the Ramos style would be a good fit to the look of this book and it comes out looking top notch.

I was wondering if Ramos has done other work with such stylized Art. I think I read he worked on one of the Spiderman titles, but I can't image any Marvel title looking like this.

I don't think he has, yet, maybe. but yes, he did spider-man, which I did not like too much.

he and faucher on dc's impulse was good and he also has done that tarzan/supeman book. he also had some great art on a gen13 mini. this art is super sleek though and I think it showcases his talent as an artist.

I'm in on this... but sort of withholding judgement for a few more issues... it's got LOTS of promise, but lots of room for flat catastrophe as well.... would like to see a bit more fully developed clergy, for one thing. right now, really enjoying the investigator, and hoping for a genuinely perplexing--maybe even deep... and philosophical...? mystery to match.

yeah, I'm hoping the ending doesn't fall flat or childish, at the end.
