Been re-reading George RR Martin's fantasy series in preparation for the latest installment, A Feast For Crows, and in doing so, I can see elements that could have easily helped shape Scion and Sojourn. Ron, I could've sworn I read on the old CG message boards that GRRM was popular in the CG studio. Was that the case? And did the "Ice and Fire" books have any influence on you when you created Scion and Sojourn?

I've never read any Martin stuff, though I'd really like to. The big Martin champion at the studio was Steve McNiven, who turned some of the other artists onto his stuff.
So, no direct influence on me or "Scion" and "Sojourn." The primary influences on those were prbably Star Wars and Prince Valiant for "Scion," and "Lord of the Rings" and perhaps a bit of Shannara for "Sojourn."
