I'll be honest and say that I don't really understand the anticipation for this movie. But I have to admit that the effects in the trailer look really good. I also like the way they made Kong look in the poster. Doesn't do enough for me to go sit in a theater for 3 hours, though.

So the actors and effects are different from last time. And the time before that. When the phrase "It's been done" is used, you can't be more literal or on the nose with this.

I have to say im pretty dissapointed. I dont buy Adrian Brody as the action hero type. Also, I dont like the way Kong looks. Imean I know that he is supposed to be a giant gorrilla, but it jsut seems like they lack imagination when it comes to the character. Sure hes supposed to be a gorilla, but hes a fantastic gorilla! They should have done something to spice him up. I know this is weird, but Kong looks to normal.

wow! i jst saw 5 minute preview while chanel surfing , when the t- rex and kong square off , watts gives the dino a "your sooo gona get your ass kicked " look , cool

Giant monkey? Seen it.

T-Rex? Jurassic Park and all the evil Hollywood overpromotion that came with it wore out the welcome of dinosaurs for at least the next couple of decades.

Naomi Watts? Well, okay, she looks alright. Never seen her in anything though.

Jack Black? I do NOT understand the appeal this guy has. He's not funny, he can't act, and is generally just annoying.

All that said, the trailer looks great, not in the sense that it makes the movie look good but in the sense that it has great visual appeal. The effects and scenery are fantastic. The lame voiceover, on the other hand, really kills the excitement level.
