On HOM #8 Pages 5 and 6...

She-Hulk now clearly knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

And, apparently, so do Ms. Marvel and the Falcon.

Does this also extend to anybody who was at the final conflict of HOM #7? The X-characters? Magneto? Quicksilver? Does remembering House of M ALSO include remembering that Celebrity-Star, Peter Parker, was the World Famous Spider-Man?

Hmm....

That seems to be the case. Since anyone who remembers HoM, would remember everything that happened in it. Probably a good thing that Layla didn't go crazy with the 'Woogie Power'. Biggest problem I can see are the villains that know it. Considering Magneto, Toad, and Mystique all were woken up by Layla.

I used to be ok with a few more people knowing who Peter was but come on this is ridiculous now. Nearly the whole Marvel superheroes universe knows now. What happend to the days when only Mary Jane, Green Goblin and Venom knew who Peter was. It's spreaded all over the Marvel Universe, that's where it's gone.

I bet she won't do anything bad with the knowledge. She likes Spider-Man.

Couldn't agree more. It seems like everyone and their Grandmother is finding out his identity and Spidey doesn't even seem that concerned about keeping it secret anymore.

Well, you can hopefully have some fun with this in She-Hulk. Work in another Spider-Man appearance and bring up the Spidey sues Jonah issue. I think it'd be fun.

Now, whoever remembers the HoM and remembers that Peter was a celeb will know. Peter was supposed to be pretty famous. I imagine some people may not have payed any attention to it.

Several of the X-Men that didn't know before obviously do now. Cyclops, Emma Frost, Shadowcat and others.

As far as Carol Danvers, I've seen preview art with her in an upcoming NA so I think Bendis will handle that.

But I'd love to see you write a She-Hulk/ Spider-Man appearance taking place after HoM. I think it'd be fun.

I kinda got the feeling this was gonna happen. Companies have been bringing their heroes "closer together" (secret ID knowledge) for a few years now. And once Spidey joined The Avengers, he really became part of the super hero in-crowd that he was not REALLY in before. (Yeah, Peter did team-ups and such but it's not the same as being part of the in-crowd and getting the same info that Captain America and the others get.)

Maybe Petr could invite everbody to a room were the wall are made out of adamantium and everybody is paralysed by some kind of energyfield and then forced to learn that "connecting Peter Parker to Spider-man will only bring you great harm.".
Nah, to Family Guy-ish.

Toad,.
Toad should be the one that Peter should worry about most, I doubt Mystique or Magneto care about him really, but Toad has a past with him.

Mystique might mess with him, just for blanks and giggles, if she gets bored.

I'll just pretend HoM never happened. JMS and PAD will do the same. What an awful story.

I don't think it's THAT big a deal that the hero community knows Peter is Spider-Man. There's never been a particularly compelling reason why he should keep his identity from them before.

(I've never bought into the theory that some villain will read, say, Falcon's mind and learn Peter's identity. Sure it COULD happen, but it probably won't, and it rarely does, so screw it)

Peters big worry should be what the next writer is going to do with Magneto.

Ground state Magneto isn't interested in Spider-Man, and doesn't approve much of involving noncombatants anyway. (Except Soviet cities, and he has a past with them)

But any moment some new writer will think it is clever to filipflop the character completely, and then Peter has a problem!

Well, if a writer were to start throwing X-Men villains at Spidey for no reason, Shadow King or Apocalypse or...anyone, really...would just rip his identity out of his head. ;)

Now that we know that Dan knows that She-Hulk knows Peter's secret identity, might we get to see a cameo in She-Hulk along these lines...

It's THIS simple, unless LIVES ARE IN DANGER, Pete should NEVER give away or jeapordize his secret identity. It's his secret and as long as Aunt May, Mary Jane, or heck-- even Betty, Robbie, Flash, or even JONAH-- are STILL ALIVE and in possible harm's way-- Pete should do EVERYTHING in his power to keep that identity a SECRET! If somebody DOES know? He should do EVERYTHING in his power to get some kind of mind-wiping ray and zap it out of there heads!

I sure hope so, that could be really humorous.

Well, I think there is one valid reason--the "hero community" isn't exactly the most stable bunch. His identity has just been spread around a bit further now because one of the heroes went insane and decided to rewrite reality--and a few months ago she killed several of her friends, and screwed around with the lives of a few others.
Quicksilver has also gone insane before and tried to murder friends and family---if I were Peter, I wouldn't want him knowing my identity.
Captain Marvel has gone insane. Moondragon has been evil once or twice. Spider-Woman is currently a spy for Hydra. Northstar got turned into an assassin. Sandman has flip-flopped back and forth from villain to hero. The list of heroes who have gone insane, been mind controlled into turning on their friends, or have just 'gone bad' goes on and on.

While I can see Peter trusting in a few very close friends and allies, I can easily see why he wouldn't want his identity to be known to anyone just because they happen to be a superhero at this particular moment in time.

I hear what you're saying, but isolating himself on the off chance that one of his friends will turn evil/go crazy/what have you seems extremely paranoid.

(Which, actually, fits Peter's character perfectly; I just don't think it makes him right)

Peter takes just as big a chance with his identity every single night he goes out. How many times has he been knocked out or tied up, and the only thing that saved him from having his mask torn off was (for lack of a better term) comic book conveniance?

There are dangers with the secret, but in the end, I think the pros outweigh the cons. A con is that Luke Cage turns evil and, for some extremely WEIRD reason, decides to attack Peter. A pro is that Mary Jane can knock on Reed Richards' front door and stay where it's safe while Peter is fighting Luke. :)

Hey, at least it's still not as bad as Ultimate Spidey. EVERYONE knows his identity there... I don't remember what issue it was, that Peter and MJ were making a list of all the people that know Pete's identity, and it literally included almost every character in the ultimate U.

But it essentially paints his lead character as "bad" for knowing the identity of an Avenger, when she knows most of them anyway. It comes with the Quinjet keys.

I know what you mean. Nearly every time when Ultimate Peter encouters a new Ultimate villian they seem to find out who he is sooner or later.

The story line in She-hulk where Peter Parker sues J. Johnah Jameson is one of the best Marvel Universe comics in a long time.

I've always thought Shulkie and Spidey make a great team, as they are both very confident and competent at their jobs, while also being numbes one and three on the wise-crack-o-meter (2=Deadpool).

I hope with She-Hulk knowing Peter's identity we get to see more She-Hulk/Spidey stories. I can't get enough of em'!

I personaly think only Major SPider Man people should know who Spider Man.

Mary Jane and Aunt May. They know. So other than that, is really really stupid. And puts Peter at risk.

(Green Goblin was to solidify him as Parker's greatnest enemy, and wlel Venom has Pete rin DNA, so he knows.)

But yeah concerning HOm: It never happened.

Or in another reality. (As freakken one shots have different realites. So why not?)
