A gallery of Alternator Windcharger (Binaltech Overdirve) (http://www.toynewsi.com/index.php?catid=7&itemid=5578)!
Looks very nice but I'll pass. Want to wait to see if the Takara version will include the long barrel for the gun. That looks way better than the Hasbro version.

As for the robot itself. Awesome!

I might have to pick up Thundercracker (http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act296/) as well. Some may be bothered by his arm gun though. Wonder if that's detachable?
Thundercracker is too small...he should be Starscreams size.
I have to agree with you on that Alternator Windcharger...will probably get the Btech version.
Steve

Oh, most definitely, Thundercracker should be Starscream size.
The next reissue has been confirmed. It's Perceptor. Not what I was expecting. It'd be better if they try and finish off the Autobot cars like Sunstreaker and Wheeljack, that is IF their molds are not damaged.

Yeah, I already have the guy, but he's loose. Me needs a factory fresh, tight jointed Perceptor here.

Ah yes, another repaint, this time, of Windcharger/Overdrive.
The color? Yellow (http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=4178&dispsize=800&start=0). He'll be called Dragstrip, of Stunticon fame. I really like the car mode.
Hopefully, they'll do something about that gun barrel. Please oh please.
But all this has yet to be OFFICIALLY concerned.

And it seems like the Takara Soundwave reissue is sold out everywhere (or at least the two stores I frequent), but some sort of repaint called Soundblaster is now available.

Well, it's nice to know I got my Soundwave early. Some online retailers are selling them at ridiculous prices, as expected. I think Soundblaster will be equally popular. Here's some history (http://www.tfsource.com/articles/dinocassettes.html) for ya.

Argh! That's whack, b! I want SoundWAVE! :( Well, I guess I learned the hard way not to wait till the last minute. I'm gonna start getting the reissues as soon as possible. My gameplan at the moment is one reissue per paycheck (every two weeks).

Well, I went out and bought the Skids re-issue at Toys 'R Us today. They also have a BUNCH of Skywarps and a few Thundercrackers. I may wind up getting those, too, as well as Tracks and Rodimus Prime. Their prices are really cheap, I guess the domestic releases aren't doing so well. Well, maybe if it wasn't excluse to TRU they'd be doing better, but who knows.
I may reconsider and get Soundblaster. The color scheme bugs me, but the fact that it comes with Ravage and can hold TWO tapes kinda helps. Either that or shell out $200 for Soundwave on some of the online shops I saw.
Steve

Only issue I have with Soundblaster are the blue stickers on his lower legs. They should've replaced the blue with red to match the rest of his look.

Maybe Soundblaster might look good next to E-Hobby's upcoming new repaint of Perceptor, Decepticon Joint Force Magnificus, which also comes with Ga'made (whoever that is). Magnificus is Perceptor's Microman name.

so techically Peceptor is the repaint.

I did not know that, but I still want the "repaint" Perceptor. See, the whole point of me getting these re-issues is to have what I had, lost, or WANTED to have as a kid, and that's the Transformers *I* remember. I remember the Perceptor toy and Perceptor in the cartoon, and I want that. I was never exposed to Microman or knew the story behind Hasbro/Takara until I was an adult. And while its fascinating and good to know, I still want the Transformers I remember, in the COLORS I remember. I don't fault anyone who feels differently, I'm just saying what my investment in this is. :)

I didn't mean to come across as a toy nazi I just didn't like something being call a repaint when it wasn't.
The Microman reissue is the Japanese fans. And being an e-Hobby exclusive it will be expensive for non-Japanese to get. I'm not even sure if e-Hobby even ships outside of Japan. As far as Perceptor goes Hobby Link Japan has him coming out in May (http://www.hlj.com/product/TAK64222) with I sure a more reasonable price.
I wouldn't count on any more Hasbro reissures. Since they seem to be "PO"ing fans of every thing lately.

You know, I keep meaning to post in this thead but I keep forgetting cause its not near the top on the comm board. :(
Anyway, I've already begun getting the re-issues (finally!). Well...the domestic ones. Toys 'R Us are apparantly trying to get rid of their existing stock, so the deal is buy two get the third free (the free one is whichever is the cheapest of the three). So, I started off with Rodimus Prime, Tracks, and Thundercracker.
Soon, I'll be getting:
Skywarp
Dirge
Silverstreak
Smokescreen
Grapple
Haven't decided on Ricocet. What's the story behind him? Both of my local TRU's have BUNCHES of them but they don't seem to be selling. Its either because no one knows who he is, or because he just looks like a recolored Jazz and people want the original colors, or, well, the $40 price tag. Of all the TRU reissues that have gone down in price, that one seems to stay at about $40. Now, I think Jazz became a Targetmaster (and later, with a smaller but similar mold became a Pretender), but I'm guessing Ricocet is something from the Japanese cartoon that never made it here. Steve? Wildcard?
Also...Silverstreak? I guess Hasbro lost the rights to the name Bluestreak, cause that's the name I remember him under. Still, the bio card on the back is mostly the same as the Bluestreak I remember, so no biggie.

Richochet is also known as Stepper in Japan. Stepper is a repaint of Jazz (Meister in Japan). He was released along with Artfire (who was a repaint of Inferno). Stepper is a Targetmaster, and was released during the Headmasters series. He, along with Artfire, was never released in the states, only in Japan.
Also...Silverstreak? I guess Hasbro lost the rights to the name Bluestreak, cause that's the name I remember him under. Still, the bio card on the back is mostly the same as the Bluestreak I remember, so no biggie.
Yep, I believe Hasbro did lose the rights to Silverstreak. This is common, as they've also lost rights to certain names (not sure which ones) to the Joe toyline as well.

Yesterday I went to Toys R' Us and got Dirge, Smokescreen, and Grapple. Grapple, or should I say "Autobot Grapple" (guess Hasbro lost the rights to that name, too), was the free one as per the buy two get one free offer they have on the re-issues, since he was the cheapest of the three. I was on the fence about Grapple, since I never really wanted him growing up, but...it was free, so.
Either today or tomorrow I'm going to the other Toys R Us near me and getting Skywarp and Silverstreak. Not sure who my third TF will be, probably Hoist. Don't remember wanting him as a kid, either, but...free. Actually, I wanted the black Hoist, can't think of his name.
And Silverstreak...I know they're calling him that since they can't use Bluestreak (I guess "Autobot Bluestreak" is too long), but Silverstreak somehow makes more sense. Probably because he's, well, silver.
Buying these Transformers made me realize: when they first came out, you really bought the same thing twice or even more times (especially the Decepticon jets), just as different colors. In a way that's clever, just slap a different paint job on them, give them a new name and new profile, and you got a "different" toy. And I guess its cheaper since Hasbro's using the same mold, but I wish there was more variety. What if Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Soundwave all had different molds? I guess we'll never know.

Good thing he isn't one of those Collector's Editions or an E-Hobby exclusive. He seems to be mass release.

Whoa, talk about thread ressurection.
But yes, sooo much to discuss.
Let's see...
I just picked up Alternators Rollbar and Ricochet and they look pretty good. I was gonna pass due to Hasbro using the same molds again and to early not too favorable pics shown. But I saw them both at my local Walmart and upfront they look better than I expected, so I snatched them up quick. As for Alternator Prime, I'm still iffy on him. Love his alternate mode cause he's the first pickup truck, but his robot mode looks so boxy. It's so plain. It's mostly the chest area and the legs I'm not happy about. Everything else like the head and arms looks decent. He looks pretty good sideview but the font view is just iffy. Something tells me I'll probably end up picking him up too. Pics here (http://www.behindthetoys.com/archive/detail.asp?toyID=931) and here (http://www.allspark.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=450).
Another pickup is Cybertron Downshift. The green is okay but I love the use of old style car. Snatched him up as well. Hopefully, Hasbro will rerelease this guy as a repaint in Gen 1 Wheeljack style. Pics here (http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=5367&dispsize=800&start=0).
Just ordered Cybertron Primus. Dude looks awesome. Love the complexity of his design. I totally think he's better looking than the Unicron toy.
http://members9.tsukaeru.net/ty1_toys/robo/GF/Primus/TF00_34.jpg
More pics here (http://members9.tsukaeru.net/ty1_toys/toys/Primus.htm), here (http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act394/), and here (http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act395/).
The Hasbro version which comes out later this year will come with a decapitated Unicron head!
Next reissue for me should be Broadcast (that's Blaster for those not in the now) but too bad the release date got pushed back to the end of March. Passed on Twincast. Hate the colors! Never liked them. Plus, the tape he comes with is just a repaint, and a female character to boot, in pink! No big loss there.
HBS-02 G1 Convoy is a must buy so I preordered that. He's small but the amazing details on this guy rocks.

EDIT: AND Blaster comes with Steeljaw. I wish they'd just re-issues ALL the cassettes, bots and cons alike.
It's interesting how they're using the Sounblaster mold to hold the two tapes. No wonder he's 30 bucks a pop. But I think he's worth it since he'll be a hot commodity when he's released.

From the pics I've seen, if they're using the Soundblaster mold, they're keeping the SoundWAVE chest cover. I guess the inside is deeper?
$30 a pop? I was certain it'd be at least $40, but either way I'm getting it. Done deal.

Yep, it should be deeper inside. Cheapest you can get for him is 29.99. The Toys R Us site price should reflect their store prices as well. 40 bucks is what every other online stores like BigBadToyStores are charging for.
Btw, anyone collecting the Classics line? It's fun as heck. My favorite has to be Voyager Class Megatron and Optimus Prime so far. Megatron is very fun to transform. I'm trying to get my hands on that Jetfire, but he's hard to find, and I usually make rounds trips to my local Targets, TRU, and Walmarts. Jetfire's design is a huge improvement from the Gen 1 version. The idea of the hemet rocks. I really want him bad.

I think Scourge is from the 6" Titanium line. I don't believe there's any Scourge in the Classics line, as of yet. That's not a bad line to collect either. I have Megs, Jetfire, and Scourge. Passed on War Within Optimus cause his red paint apps sucked. This line is made more for show than play though.

Bah! Screw them. Those complaining folks are lucky they're even GETTING a Soundwave reissue. The idea of holding two tapes is neato, cause we not only get one, but two tapes. Always a good thing. Who knows, those complaining folks are the same folks who will probably snatch Soundwave up so fast and scalp him on Ebay. Plus, Soundwave doesn;t look THAT much different in the pics.

It's a store exclusive. From what I'm reading on the Transformers 2005 board, looks like Soundwave may have been pushed back to January or February. A few posters are getting emails form TRU saying that their oline order of Soundwave will be delayed. Noooooooooooooo! And I was so looking forward to buying him.

If you're thinking of ordering from HasbroToyShop.com, don't. There have been many complaints by the Transformers community that they lag in shipping. I don't think Hasbro has cancelled the release of Soundwave, just delayed it. I think he'll eventually be released. Besides there have been reports and pics as far as Hong Kong/Malayasian buyers receiving theirs. I won't believe he's cancelled altogether till I hear official news.

Besides there have been reports and pics as far as Hong Kong/Malayasian buyers receiving theirs. I won't believe he's cancelled altogether till I hear official news.
No, not Hasbro, TRU. I don't know if Toys R Us has changed its mind as far as releasing it at its physical stores or not. I know Hasbro themselves hasn't cancelled MAKING it, I just don't know if TRU has cancelled SELLING it.
If they have, I guess it just means I'd have to get it online at other shops.

I hope they haven't changed their minds about selling it in the stores. My wife tried to get this for me for christmas. She got this reply from 2 seperate stores:
"We don't have it, you're not the 1st person to call"

Well, it's official, TRU will be gettig Soundwaves in, and it's available online for order. Unfortunately, not at this time. They keep stocking it and then running out. Pretty sure they'll restock more in soon. Or you can just go hunting in at your local TRUs.

What sucks is that the Toys R Us that's closest to me is run by morons, so calling them isn't an option. I've been checking every day and they don't have it. What's ironic is that my friend who ordered it online around Christmas got HIS in the mail a few days ago. If only I had ordered it online...:(

Kids, remember to always open your toys when you can still return them. I bought an Alternator Prowl last year, forgot about it and opened it up recently. It didn't have a head (or hand, but no freaking head) :(

So like, I've gotten Arcee and Starscream, but everything else seems to be sold out. :( I mean you can find a Ratchet everywhere (guess that design/character wasn't popular?) but everything else is GONE. Except Protoform Starscream.
Arcee is cool, first she has like a mini hairdo that's pretty clever, and second her seat in her motorcycle mode turns into a crossbow in her robot mode.

Movie prompted me to get my first Transformers in more than a decade.
Got the 12" Palisade statue of Prime, a 3" Titanium Rodimus and a 3" Titanium G1 Battle-Damaged Optimus Prime for use as desk ornaments.
Also got two Jetfire figures, the 6" Titanium War Within one because I like the alt mode and the Classics Jetfire because I like the robot mode.

See, this is the story of my life...I see all this cool stuff but can't afford it cause of bills, gas, whatnot. When I FINALLY get the loot, its gone. I'm sure I can find it online, but still, nothing like walking into, for instance, Target and seeing what you want and getting it.
For instance, I wanted the $40 versions of movie Prime and Megatron (supposedly there will be a smaller $20 version whenever the second wave happens), but couldn't justify spending $40 (or $80 if I got both at the same time) at once. Now, sold out, and I got the loot to get it. :(
Anyway, back to what you're saying, I wasn't too impressed with most of that, though I did wish I got the Alternator Skids (the original Skids was one of my first Transformers ever so he holds a special place in my heart), but I WILL get the Alternator Rodimus Prime. Big Rodimus Prime fan here.
I see now I have to see aside Transformer money. Like an allowance. :D A little bit here and there will add up. If the sequel to the movie is supposed to come out in 2009, if I save up NOW I can get EVERYTHING the instant I see it.

Yes Ultimate Bumblebee (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2655208&cp) he has animatronics built in and his doors(wings) flap and his arms move, one arm has a missile launcher that aims and shoots. He plays like 7 songs and says like 17 sayings.
When you transform him into his alt mode the car engine purrs and then if you roll him around he squeals when you turn and if you stop his tail lights come on.
Its really freaking sweet.

Well, it's been over a decade since I bought any new Transformers (spent about $10 on a used G1 Prime cab with no accessories a few years back) so I figured I could splurge especially since my spending on other entertainment has really plummeted.
I'm pretty much done now anyway, doubt I'll be buying any more merch other than the IDW comics. Only wish there was a 3" Titanium Galvatron repaint since the one they have is the wrong shade of purple.
Don't really like the Alternators since the robot modes are too blocky and the alt modes look nothing like the ones of the original characters.

Ha! That keychain is kinda cool. I might actually get one with the Decepticon symbol.
Not much for statues, but if there was one for Rodimus (not Hot Rod as pictured in the link) I might change my mind.
I'll be gettign that Hot Rod statue. Looks sweet!
Luckily, I got the Alternator Rodimus for MSRP price from HasbroToyShop when it popped up. Thank goodness I didn't have to overspend on ridiculous Ebay prices. That guy sold out quick.
Anyone get SDCC Titaniun Menasor? Love the paint apps on that one. I could care less about his name though.
As for the Movie Toys, I own most of them so far. Mostly Voyagers and Scouts. I passed on the Optimus and Megs Leader size and will pick up the Voyager sized versions. Passed on Arcee. Not into that head sculpt. I still need me that badass 2008 Bumblebee though. Have most of the Target exclusive scout repaints. I just wish the drought of Movie toys would stop already. It's been like weeks. Everywhere you go from Walmart to Target to TRU, it's like a barren wasteland, except role playing toys and
Encore toys are an easy sale for me. I'm a sucker fro reissues. I just love that Soundwave box! But from all the pics I've seen, there doesn't seem to be any so called new molds on the sculpts.

Got Classics Jetfire in the pst yesterday and love it. Looks beautiful. Why couldn't have Transformers been like this when I was a kid?

I thought I'd have difficulty doing the transformation but it was surprisingly easy. Haven't lost the knack. :) What was a pain in the ass was removing all those wire loops.
I was really impressed with the Cybertron Starscream figure shown in the catalogue that came with the figure. Beautiful blend of G1, War Within and Armada characteristics.
http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/6/6a/180px-Starscream-cybertron.jpg
Yeah, the Classics line rocks in terms of design. Awesome for a filler line. I have two of that Jetfire figure. The thing about Jetfire is that he looks great with or without the helmet. Plus, I also have his Botcon repainted version, Dreadwing. As for Starscream, dependig on your preference, I bought the Takara version. The Hasbro one was way too big. Also, there's the repainted version of that Starscream with Vector Prime in that 2 pack which looks quite cool.

Hm. Any fans of the Classics line?
After the movie line ends in Spring 08, they'll be ressurecting Classics as a new "Transformers Universe" line. Basically, anything that isn't from Transformers Animated will go in there.
They already confirmed Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Octane, and all but confirmed a new Galvatron.
Yeah, I'm glad they're continuing with the line.

Okay, this is technically thread drift, but not really since they share the same universe ( ;) ), but has anyone seen those G.I. Joe re-issues? There's the individual ones (including the "good" Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes with Timbre) as well as the 5 packs that plays a snippet of the G.I. Joe tune.
The 5-pack I saw came with Duke, Scarlett, Snake-Eyes (original goggle-glasses version), Roadblock, and...hmm, forget the fifth guy. Stalker or something. Looked neat.

5th guy is Gung Ho. I have them all so far. Box sets and singles. Been seeing them at local Targets. Walmart and TRU around here don't even have them yet. Check your Targets. And yes, the Joe tune for the box sets was an excellent idea! Here's a helpful site (http://www.gijoe25th.com/).

The classics line LOOKS great, but I'm worried about its playability. Got the Rodimus/Starscream two-pack for my son, and on the first couple of transformations, you can already see strain in the plastic joints at the shoulders on the Rodimus figure.
I reckon it'd be a lot more "classic" if they'd actually used some metal parts, particularly on the hard-wearing joints.
But man, I want that Jetfire! Got the original Jetfire sitting on my desk at home!

Right, right, Gung-Ho! I need to go ahead and get those myself. Looks like one of the future figures is Serpentor. I wish he was coming with his chariot. I had the mail-order Serpenter WAY back way ('88?), and have since lost Serpentor and broke the chariot. :(
Its funny "good" Storm Shadow is one of the single figures being released (I think "evil" Storm Shadow is in the second box set) cause I always thought that wasn't a popular idea, making Storm Shadow defect to the Joes. *I* loved it, but I seem to be in the minorty when it comes to certain storylines and figures (Skids and Rodimus Prime instantly spring to mind). I dunno, seemed logical and organic to me, but then you'd have to think who would fill the void on Cobra's side if he defected? Night Creeper? Firefly?
Anyway, back on topic, I bought Ironhide today. :D Found him at a Wal-Mart I don't normally frequent. Slight dent in the box, but otherwise MISB. Sweet! Ratchet and Blackout to go! Ratchet is still at most Targets, so Blackout will be the tough one.

http://www.gijoe25th.com/news/data/upimages/blade-destro.gif
I always wanted that Destro! That was during the stint (near the end of G.I.Joe's run in the late 80's/early 90's) Destro said, "Man, screw supplying weapons to that fool!" and formed his OWN terrorist organization. His look from that point on looked great, like a true upgreat. Very regal. And they're doing a remake of this? Nice! :D
EDIT: Stray thought: how about a Lifeline and Zaranna two pack?

Man, we should start a Joe discussion thread. Have you seen the SDCC pics of upcoming figs? Looks really good. Sculptors of today are so much better and the 25th Joe line rocks. Zartan and especially Firefly's sculpt look really good.
As for Blackout, go to any Mervyn's and they'll probably have it. I went to my local one and the one in the next city and they had about a few Rathcets, Blackouts, and Starscreams. With the current Movie toy drought in the main stores like TRU, Target, and Walmart due to scalpers and high demand, some alternatives have popped up.
So anyone here getting Masterpiece Skywarp (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=146988) and upcoming Hasbro version of Masterpiece Starscream (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?p=1518949)? Both look dam sweet.

Yeah, the movie Ironhide. I'm not sure I have a favorite (from the movie), though I am impressed with the design of the movie Ratchet. The toy reviewer at BWTF.com pointed out he has a sort of beard to give him a sort of wise, sagely look. Like a battle surgeon who's been through a lot of battles and lived to tell the tale. Plus his hands and the flip out axe.
But judging from what I've seen online, there should be a next wave soon that's basically the variants. I deliberately avoided the Bumblebee from the first wave, cause he was the Bumblebee before he scanned an '08 Camero. The one AFTER he scanned the '08 Camaro is coming soon. I just wonder what's taking so long. Or I'm just impatient. :o

I also forgot a) NC tends to get things late anyway compared to other states, and b) scalpers. Sigh. I've seen it happen, too, some dude will come up and buy 3 or more of something at once. Depending on the popularity of theproduct, they'll be a note saying something like "Only 1 per customer".

Oh, I can't wait for the variants. I just the love the Gen 1 Jazz, Starscream, and Thudnercracker repaints.
I hope the second wave of Target exclusive Scouts will be out soon as well.
As for that Hybrid style Convoy, I own that too plus the black version. Very nice and very detailed.

I can't get excited for those at all. Its the exact same mold, just painted differently and I would rather have the movie ones look like they did in the movie. Are you planning on getting Rescue Ratchet and the G1 painted Voyager Prime, as well?

In other news:
This was first reported a couple of days ago for a WalMart out in Anaheim, California. After a couple of days of waiting to see if this was an isolated incident or a chain-wide deal, it turns out this is good for every store.
In an attempt to fill empty Transformers space, WalMart has shipped to stores all the remaining stock of older Transformers product. This includes Transformers Classics, Transformers Titanium, Transformers Alternators, and 20th Anniversary Animated Movie Optimus Prime.

Looking at the superbeeds.com site (thanks jesse!), they actually look silly with the G1 colors. The movie colors work better somehow. I just want the 08 Camaro Bumblebee and that's it for me as far as variants.
I do wonder: what's the main difference in the $40 Op and Megs and the Voyager versions that's like $10 less? Besides the obvious size difference. Megs can't turn his forarms into one gun and Op doesn't have his energy sword?

Yesterday I bought Ratchet and '08 Camaro Bumblebee at a Wal-Mart. "Final Battle" Jazz is out, as well as the variants and the "movie universe" characters.
Voyager Megatron is out, and sorry but he looks like doo-doo. Apparently this is "just unfrozen" Megatron, so he has toy ice cicles all over him, and they even turn into wing flaps in jet mode.
Its kinda funny one of the movie universe characters on the bots side is an Autobot that turns into a tow truck. I might get that one. The rest, not so sure about. Not sure I like Barricade without his police colors.
Finally...Final Battle Jazz. Eh...he doesn't have his shield and is battle damaged, but otherwise the same. Not sure if he comes apart at the waist. ;) But I think I'll hunt for the original version of the movie Jazz.

I've stayed out of discussions abut the new cartoon, cause it looks like crap but its not designed for me, its designed for a new generation, and I have no problem with that. However, that's the first image I've seen of Megs, and he actually looks pretty cool. I'm curious to see the toy now.

Yeah the Target Optimus is the same as Movie Voyager Optimus, just different packaging, basically.
I have no idea on teh camera it is my girlfriends, but I don't think it is anything special.
So I just got 08 BB, Dropkick, Longarm, Recon Barricade, Leader Brawl, Thundercracker, Movie Gen 1 Jazz, Movie Gen 1 Starscream, and Rescue Ratchet all in one shopping spree. All are badass.
No Arcee though. I will find her soon enough.
And jessecuster3, the difference between the Target Robo Vision Prime and regular Voyager Prime is that the Target one has more metallic paint scheme on his limbs and the blue is lighter. He also has flames on the front of his legs as opposed to Voyager Prime.

Weird the Voyager Op is cool and the Voyager Megs is crap. But I'm still gonna invest in the Leader versions. You can still find Leader Primes at just about any Wal-Mart and a few Targers (in my area at least), its just Leader Megs that probably got gobbled up by collectors.
EDIT: Well, not Leader Brawl. That doesn't make sense to me. A Leader Bonecrusher (so Prime and Bonecrusher would be the same scale like in the movie) would make sense. Or heck even a Leader Blackout.

The moral of the story: don't wait! :(
They did have the cartoon colors Jazz and Starscream, but I'm gonna pass on those. I'm definately going to get the Encore Op. I was going to get a Takara variant that came with the Matrix of Leadership and blue windows, but but it cost $200, and $50 > $200, kind of a no brainer (I would essentially be paying $150 for a Matrix of Leadership necklace that goes around Op's neck, and that's not worth it). Oddly enough, Wal-Mart.com sells the Encore stuff for a little under $100.

Yeah, I went to my local Walmart last night and they had pallets of Movie toys suddenly. The Transformers section was hecka packed. Hasbro getting ready for X-Mas also? Kinda early no? Anyways, of all the deluxes, I just need me that purple Arcee. Dam hard to find around here. I have all the Target exclusive Arcees already. I also want another Baricade as well. Heh I held off on Deluxe Brawl, and only got Leader Brawl, he is most excellent and I heard about lot of shoulder trouble on the Deluxe one.
I just read where stores are getting restock on Masterpiece Megatron so I am going to need to get that soon.
I own both the Deluxe and Leader versions but wasn't content enough on the Deluxe size. I prefer Brawl to be Leader class so when he's in alt mode he'd be comparible to Prime and the reast of the Autobots. As for the Arcee, Target has them as exclusives. They are the Energon molds repainted.

Bad news: I STILL haven't found Leader Optimus Prime. Just gobs and gobs of Leader Megatron and Leader Brawl.
Good news: I DID find Black Out! Yay! So now that I have him, all that's left is to get Leader Op and my collection of the 2007 Movie Transformers will be complete.
I'm kinda on the fence about getting that Frenzy figure that turns into a boom box, or the "Replicator" version that doesn't turn into anything but almost identical to the movie version. I think one is $10 and the other $6.
Heck, I have yet to find Deluxe Arcee! She's the only one I need to complete my Movie collection. I guess the current assortments hitting Walmart stores doesn't include her. I did get another Barricade though.

Leader Op is the only one *I* need. I run into gobs of Deluxe Arcees, oddly enough. In fact I'm thinking about getting the Target exclusive Arcee that's blue and pretending that's Minerva. Hey, why can't Arcee have a buddy? The Motorcycle Sisters!
Yes I'm too old for this but I don't care! :D
In any case, I finally resorted to ordering Op online. :( I did the best I could, went to every Target I could find, every Wal-Mart, even found some K-Marts I didn't know were still in business. No luck. So...it'll cost $20 more, but at least my Movie collection is complete.
And let this be a lesson to YOU ALL: don't wait till the last minute to get stuff! :(
As for why I can't find Op? I think I figured out why: an ice blue-colored variant called "Nightwatch Optimus Prime" is on its way, probably early December.

I feel your pain. I wanted the Classic Ultra Magnus/Skywarp 2 pack at Target. I should have used my credit card, but I waited til I had the cash in hand. ... They sold out :( (This is when they were on clearance for $14 too :( x2)
I didn't do too badly online, got it for only $22.

Well that's cool. And I'm not complaining TOO much: out of all the movie line stuff, I got ALL of it in regular stores, and only got ONE online (Op, on its way), so that's not too bad. I just could have got them ALL in the store including Op if I didn't wait. And I almost got the Deluxe ones online if Wal-Mart didn't suddenly and recently have an assortment come in.
Finally got my Arcee! I knew they were selling wave one Deluxes at Khols, but checking every one near me I struck out. Finally checked my local Kohls and they had like three of her.

Dang, forgot Kohl's sold toys. Last time I went to Kohl's was when Power Rangers: Mystic Force was ending its run.

Animated Grimlock
Yeah, that Animated Grimmy looks sweet. Been meaning to get that Rodimus statue or maquette too. Revoltech Rodimus and STrascream easily added to my buy list. More Revoltech Rodimus pics here (http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=9179&dispsize=800&start=0).
Has anyone seen pics of the Henkei (Classics) Grimmy? Dude looks tight. Personally I don't mind the chrome. I think he looks better than the one we got over here. Can't wait to get Henkei Astrotrain in Gen 1 colors! Oh, and all the other Henkeis rock too. Henkei Megs pics here (http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=9177&dispsize=800&start=0).

And I was able to get my hands on the Wonderfest Movie Deluxe Arcee in Gen 1 colors. Hope she comes in the mail soon!
And has anyone seen these Coronation sets (http://club.tfclub.com/viewthread.php?tid=17152&fpage=1) yet? Pretty neat. Ordered mine from BigBadToyStore when they were 15 bucks each. They have recently raised the prices on them though.

Animated Gimlock beats the pants off Classics Grimlock. It looks like a tweaked version of the G1 figure and the dino mode reeks of badassitude.

Apparently the first wave of Animated toys will be available at Hasbro Toy Shop March 25th.

I love the original Transformers. Anything that isn't G1-related doesn't interest me at all especially if they look weird (e.g, the recent movie). Reissuing old figures is OK, but I'd rather Hasbro remake and improve them while keeping their old designs.
I've been most impressed by the Masterpiece and Classics, particularly Prime and Megatron from the former and the Decepticon Planes, Hot Rod, and Jetfire for the latter (he'd be prefect at his original height). I'm looking forward to Classics Prowl and Sunstreaker
So does anyone have Fort Max? I remember seeing him at Rose's when I was a kid (they still have Rose's?) for like $50-$60. Same place I saw Skyfire/Jetfire. But my folks won't about to pay over $20 for a toy for me. Mine were the same way. My brother and I bought a loose Fort Max nearly 10 years ago. We paid about twice the original cost unfortunately. He was incomplete but still in good condition. He's a big son-of-a-bitch! But that's nothing. I was told a bootleg Headmaster exists that's about 3' tall!

Okay, but I wanna see how it holds up to the upcoming Masterpiece Grimlock.
