She seems to think that they come from foreign countries. She must have skipped class when they were teaching sex ed, because she is adopting again. Or maybe she just doesn't want to mess up her girlish figure.

According to the article, she obsesses about adopting long before she lays eyes on these kids. Even the Onion was mocking her a couple of months ago, with a headline to the effect of "Angelina Jolie wants *your* child!"

Maybe she is probably the type that would rather adopt a child than give birth to one. Just because she wants to adopt doesn't mean that she doesn't know better about child birth.

I think, perhaps, she just sees the world as one already overpopulated and recognizes that procreating personally actually exacerbates that problem while adoption alleviates it.

With all the legitimate weirdness that Jolie could be mocked for, her desire to use her abundant resources to care for children no one else wants seems to be a rather petty and unneccesary thing to give her grief about.

Maybe it's just because I'm a pessimist, but I think she's just doing this to better herself in the eyes of the media in order to give her a "sexy parent" image, therefore opening herself up to more roles in movies. Mainly as a wisecracking, middle-aged, spiteful mother-in-law.

Does she know nothing of the wonders of pregnancy boobs?!?! But yeah, I admire Angelina for her efforts. Her motives seem genuine, so who are we to judge. It's not like she just adopts these kids and they're raised totally American. She seems to have every intent of educating them about where they came from.

If so, she's really going overboard. Unlike Sean Penn, (who I think does things for photo ops) Angelina has done tons and tons of humanitarian work across the globe and has received numerous awards for all of her contributions. To me, she comes across as one of the few sincere celebs--she does a lot of things without the watchful eye of the cameras.
There's always the chance that Angelina can't have kids and is thus adopting. We just don't know the reason. I actually think her idea is cool--to have a family of children from all around the world.

With a little exercise and a good diet plan she could still have a good figure. Besides Charisma Carpenter had a kid and she still looks hot.

Seriously, though, while it's weird that she seems to get a new one every year like they were new cars, or something, as long as she can raise 'em right, I got no beef.

Or Josephine Baker. Baker adopted 12 kids all (or most) from different cultures and races. I think she did it to make up for her unhappy childhood. She didn't want the little orphans to grow up without a family or unhappy. I understand that Jolie had a pretty whack upbringing. Her folks split when she was a kid. And I don't think that she saw Voight (her father) much as a child. Hence their rocky relationship. I think much of her 'weird' behaviour is really an outlet for surpressed anger.

Actually, that was a pretty cool insight. I personally believe that Jolie is doing good things for bad reasons, but the result is worth it. I just hope that she is a good parent to these adopted kids.

in a pain in the butt to adopt a kid here..and you know ms "I kiss my cousin" and "Carry my boyfrield blood around" with have to go through extra paperworkd
but really sometime it take a year in the states

Let's get off her case. The near odd hating on Alba this year was already dangerous territory but Jolie, despite the controversy, is a good woman and I completely support her life choices recently.

For real. Many of us have made mistakes in our past, but those mistakes don't define us, how we learn from them and move on does. Angelina is making something more of her life than just creating controversy with the outlandish things she does. She has earned a break from the bashing.

Why risk it? If I didn't feel the compulsion to pass on my genetic heritage as well as my name, I'd adopt some kids and try to give them a better life. I too feel like the planet is overpopulated as is.

Nice one. My wife and I have always said that we'd rather adopt. It's just a choice that some people make. That doesn't mean that Angelina Jolie isn't a ditz who is totally worthy of mass-mockery in epic proportions. She plainly is.
