So now Captain Atom is in the wildstorm universe. This may be a good or bad thing for the hero. If is end up being a good thing. What other heros would you want to see move to wildstorm?

to be honest, i'd like to see anyone from marvel or DC stay the hell out of wildstorm. they're just not bad-ass enough. wildstorm's standards are too high for heroes like that.

Backlash
Lorenzo
The Establishment
The Monarchy
Winter....

With characters like that who needs characters from another universe?

Exactly. Wildstorm, and the majority of Image comics, are just a lot better. for instance, have you ever asked yourself where the X-men get their funds for those oturages outfits and transportation? let alone living in that big ass house? now, take wildstorm's wildcats, Marlowe is a multi billionaire. poof, believable story right there. the people at image just put a lot more effort into their work, trying to te get facts on the UN for comics like Stormwatch while Marvel and DC just make up fake countries and organizations.

It is expressed in X-Men that Prof. X has very very deep pockets.

Sorry, but just saying "X is a multi billionaire" is just as lamn as "Oh these guys just have everything they need"

There should be a story behind being rich. People do infact have to work for those kinds of riches.

there IS a story behind Marlowe's wealth. Void helped him establish one of the biggest multinationals in the world, one that Hadrian expanded in Wildcats v3.0

furthermore, how many times have we seen marvel or dc characters bout it out with only minor damage? read wildstorm rising #1 now THAT was a FIGHT! Stormwatch vs. WildC.A.T.s, ladies and gentlemen, better than you'd expect it. these guys wrecked an entire carlot AND each other. hell, warblade almost died.

Image.

you can't deny it.

I dunno arguing over which set of superheroes are more realistic is a bit silly. Trashed a car lot...multimillion $ lawsuit just from the owner, then there is the trauma suffered by all the employees and bystanders. Niether deals much in realism. HOw many would really opt to wear skintight lycra getups to fight people?! Let's face it the average superhero sounds gay.

And people who lead multi-billion dollar companies spend their life running them. Have secret superheroes lives is hard to squeeze in.

As far as crossing over heroes there is one simple rule.

Don't.

Marvel and DC have cross-over-itis. It is just a marketing ploy and has no value to the storytelling. Crossovers are just used to get one hot-selling property to appear in a lesser-selling property in hopes of bleeding over sales. I wonder if this really works. I dont' ever recall starting to collect a comic title because I read a crossover issue where a favorite did a cameo.

Not all crossovers are marketing ploys. And, it does work. I remember starting to collect a comic title because I read a crossover issue where a favorite did a cameo.

Actually, if I am correct, the X-Mansion was created by Xavier's father when he was still around. Warren is a multibillionaire financer. And Beast is a well known scientist. And Xavier did get the Lockheed blackbird in a auction if I recall. Forge once worked for the government. The tech in the danger room also consisted of Shi'Ar tech.

Maybe Xavier traded it to another hero group for cash. That and Stark Enterprises possibly donated a few thousand dollars. I mean Xavier does own a anti-crash barrier created by Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

That enough proof for you?

FIGHT! Stormwatch vs. WildC.A.T.s, ladies and gentlemen,

Was this before or after Hadrian aka Cole joined StormWatch?

According to my Marvel Encylopedia it states the following.

"The mansion belongs to the the team's founder, Professor X, and has been in his family's possession for ten generations. A Dutch seafaring ancestor of Xavier's built it of local stone in the 1700s on the edge of Breakstone Lake.

Through the years, the mansion has been electrified, refurbished and modernized. Rebuilt and expanded several times during the last few years with an eye toward personal comforct, space, and security, the mansion
incorporates advanced alien technology provided by Lilandra of the Shi'ar."

To get back to the original topic, I would prefer Wildstorm to stick to it's own staple of heroes, thank you very much. But, if I must choose, I wouldn't mind seeing some of DC's Golden Age properties that they've never revived (http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/m/mouthpec.htm), referenced (http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/711.htm) or otherwise used (http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/m/madfatal.htm) getting rewamped in WSU. I mean, Warren Ellis already used Masterman (http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/f/fawmasmn.htm) in Stormwatch, so why not?

Dude, Hadrian and Cole are two different characters. Cole = Grifter.

and yes, Spartan (Hadrian) did join Stormwatch, after his body was restaured and reprogrammed by Stormwatch. he died, memory didn't download and the disc with his memory was placed in a more advanced model on Khera.

peace

In one of the books I had. Spartan gained a human likename though. If I can find the comic I'll show it to you.

I'd like to actually see Lobo or Wolverine though. I mean him vs Warblade would be a good match. As they are both experts in many forms of martial arts. And they both know how to use their blades well.

I think Icon from Milestone Comics should join the Wildstorm Universe. Definately.

Since they don't appear to be using him enough in regular DC, I think that The Shade (of Starman fame) would fit pretty well in Wildstorm.

How about Joe Kelly's JL Elite team in the WSU? Just drop Justice League? Vera Black and the rest seem dark enough to join the WSU.

Bit off topic, and I admit I've never posted on this particular board before (I usually hang out at the Rumbles and Anime/Manga boards), but is it just me or were the Wildcats acting like the writer had removed their brain in the latest issue of Cap A:Armageddon?

Playing that game where you connect movie stars by their roles to decide who goes up against a guy who was smacking around Majestic? I haven't read Wildcats in ages but I seem to recall them having a hell of alot more common sense than that...

Well, mate, lots of things about this series make sense.

That said, if you want to post about Captain Atom: Armageddon, please redirect your post here (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=93573).
