IDW was bringing this book out regularly when, all of a sudden, they just stopped, mid-story. Has anyone heard any information on this title?

It's still being published. I think they are coming out with issue 5 or 6 soon.

Grell said somewhere (maybe on his website?) that from the moment they signed the contract, he was already late (I think IDW had a schedule they wanted to hit prior to any work being done, regardless of whether Grell thought the deadline was achievable).

To have Mike Grell put out Sable, I'm willing to cut him a little slack. If he can do it monthly, great. If it takes a little longer to do it, no problem. I'm willing to wait two or three months between issues for quality than a mediocre monthly.

I don't mind cutting Grell some slack; I just want some assurance the thing's still being published. As far as I can see, nothing else has been solicited at the moment. I've been burned once too often lately with independent series that have started off strong and then been cancelled mid-stream. :(

Issue 6 was just in the October Previews.

I believe issue 5 was due in September, but obviously it's a bit behind. Hopefully we'll get #5 in November, then #6 will ship on time in December. Cross your fingers.

I agree. Usually, I get very annoyed by delays, but there's something special about Mike Grell producing Jon Sable. I'm happy to wait if it guarantees that I'll get the best from Mike.

Grell, quality, and Jon Sable, worth the wait.

Sable is definitely worth the wait. I'm really enjoying this series and am hoping that Mr. Grell continues with more Jon Sable stories.

Well, #5 is out now, and #6 is solicited, so maybe we're back on track.
