Where do you think it stands?
Dixon's MK run had Frank with something like 300 counts of murder in US territory.
Ennis' MAX run has Frank's body count at over 2000.
Personally, I'd put it at around 5,000 (not counting Vietnam). You have to figure a 30 year publishing history, including solo titles, would quickly rack 'em up.
Anyone ever put together a project like this online?

You have to remember, Castle didn't really start killing people until the mid-80s, outside of the two magazine specials. Before then, he mostly used mercy bullets and other guns that, magically, only knocked people out. It wasn't really until the first miniseries that he started consistantly killing people.

How the hell hasn't he been arrested yet?

I did not know that.
Still, the "on screen" body counts in Ennis' series alone have been horrendously high. There were 200 people on the plane the Punisher shot down on Grand Nixon Island. If we count the MAX series for it's tangential connection to Marvel continuity, the body count in 24 issues is already several hundred.

He has been. At least three times, off the top of my head. Once in Spider-Man, once somewhere in the course of his regular book (I'm pretty sure that one happened, anyways) and once after he apparently killed Nick Fury. They gave him the chair for that one. But mafia guys faked his death and made him the head of the Mafia.

He was also arrested in the first 12 issues of Dixon's MKnights. On the way back from his hearing he convinced two crooked cops that he had money stashed in a warehouse. They died on his hideout's defenses and he walked away.

Hey, they executed him one time! Come on, if you give the dude the death penalty and he's still kicking it, that's a little above and beyond the average convict.

I mean... permanently arrested.'Cause it'd be kind of hard to keep the series going that way.

FWIW... Micro says in issue 2 of the Max run that he helped Frank kill over 800 people, so there's your minimum.
