I wanted to let a few days pass before opening a thread about this issue because I wanted to give everyone a chance to read it. I’ll let someone more eloquent than I write a review but for my money issue 91was what I’d come to expect in terms of excellent action, dialogue, humor and character development. All the characters, expect poor Jake who’s in a coma, are different than when Ron first began writing them. My favorite part was a twist to the old there was no body routine.
What made the issue special for me was the controversy at the end of it. There were of course extenuating of course but Sara essentially let the mass murderer go and covered up for him afterwards or am I reading that wrong. Anyway on to issue 92 which could be quite special given all the artists that are participating in it.

Good stuff, as I've come to expect by now from Ron's run on this title.

She wasn't covering for Michael. She didn't know where he was, and couldn't have turned him in if she wanted to. As far as she knew, he WAS destroyed.
What she was covering for, was her own role in the fight. She couldn't have told the truth without revealing the Witchblade.

The person that interviewed her knew about the Witchblade but yea I just reread that issue, along with Ron’s entire run, and I come to realize that I was grasping at straws the ending of issue 91.

I don't know if you've realised, (I didn't, until I checked out the Top Cow forums), but the fed is actually one of the agents from Hunter/Killer.

I feel so embarrassed. I read both books and should have picked that up.

You're sort of both right.
No, Sara didn't truly know where Michael was, and so couldn't have turned him in. But she did know he was alive, and let him escape, because he was as much a victim as anyone.
Glad you liked the issue. We just sent off #92 to the printer, and it really turned out pretty cool. A feast for the eyes, as they say.

Thanks for reading, Jerry. Issue #92 is due on Nov. 23 (I think).
