No, not the JMS "Supreme" Nighthawk (although he is pretty cool).

I'm talking about good ol' Squadron-Sinister-Batman-doppleganger-until-he-became-a-great-character-in-his-own-right-as-a-Defender-in-the-Marvel-Universe-proper NIGHTHAWK! The man who always struggled to make the non-team a team. The character that will be in the upcoming New Thunderbolts story reunited with the Squadron Sinister. The hero that will be appearing in the re-launched Thing.

Praise by to comic gurus that be Fabian and Dan!

Forget the Falcon.

He's a decent character, but something about the costume makes him hard to take seriously.

I always liked Squadron Supreme Nighthawk's costume from the first issue of the maxi-series. Black and gold, with no cape. Nifty as all heck.

do we know that the nighthawk appearing with the squadron sinister in the upcoming new thunderbolts story is the same as the one in the thing?
i'm betting it's not seeing as the spectrum in the new squadron sinister is a new character (or at least not any previous spectrum), plus the nighthawk showing up in thing i'm assuming will be a good guy and the one showing up with the ss will be a bad guy (though a bad guy to the bolts could still be a good guy to the rest of the mu).

How did Nighthawk come back from the dead already? After he was blown to bits in Defenders 106 or thereabouts, I lost track of him.

I liked him, though. Decent fellow.

I think Supreme Power is like a standalone universe from marvel 616. Its practiculay a prequel and is about how the team got together. I like Nighthawk more than batman though. Just wish they would make heroclix of these characters. That would rock.

Yeah, he had a mini where he returned from the dead. Then he was a part Defenders when the series briefly made a come back. It's back again, but with no Nighthawk in sight.

He's still floating around the Marvel Universe though, waiting for someone to pick him up and do something with him.
