I don't get it...

I didn't delete my e-mail. As far as I know I haven't violated any terms. Why the hell is it de-activated!?

Nope. I rarely send out anything. I've had that e-mail since I was 17 :(

Good luck. When my old email/messenger account got hijacked, I found Yahoo's customer service people to be about as useful as condoms at BlairH's house.

Damn. I've had the account since I was 17. There are personal e-mails saved as well as my profile being personalized. I never saved my addresses :(

Well, you have nothing to lose by giving it a try. Here's hoping you have a lot better luck than I did.

I was gonna post this same thing. I had my old E-Mail account get wasted due to a move a awhile back. Its a shame. I had pictures and everything. Ticked me off a lot but I made sure I always go to Yahoo each week now.

Why all the virgin jokes? Seriously.

There's plenty of people in the world who haven't had sex and it's a perfectly acceptable lifestyle choice. Hell, I'm only 19, there's folk that think the twenties is the "ideal" age to give up virginity.

Besides, if you ABSOLUTELY have to mock a Scottish virgin, mock Gaz because he's older than me! (and is lovelorne and lonely apparently)

Hey! You can't just assume that about me! (The virgin part, not the lonely part...)

Why all the virgin jokes? Seriously.

Because a) they spaz you out, and b) you insist on stating opinions and giving advice in areas in which you are entirely inexperienced and unknowledgeable.

I wouldn't worry to much. They keep the accounts on their servers for about 90 I think it is. So you should be able to get back into the account.

Because its fun to watch someone get their panties in a twist when they are teased.

I had checked my account everyday. And had just chatted with a friend via my messanger. I've had the account since 97....

I've NEVER had a problem with Yahoo and have used it consistently for years. I like it much more than Hotmail.

If it's affecting more than one person, it could be a problem with their servers that will be rectified once they repair it. Give them at least a day to answer your questions and check back every now and again. If you have mail saved, don't give up on your old account. Keep trying. And get up customer service's ass if you have to.

I had a Hotmail account at one time but it was spammed to sh-t. I mean when your away from answering your e-mail for 2 or 3 days and you get 40 e-mails randing from credit card fixing to xxx sites e-mailing you then you know your screwed.

It didn't start out that way. I had a Hotmail account for a good few months with maybe a few e-mails that was spam. I had mostly friends e-mail me. But then god knows something bad happened and one week I checked my e-mail and I had 160 some e-mails!

I thought it was a mistake so I went and checked. I started deleting them all thinking it was a mistake. Hell I only had a 100 block limit on Hotmail. So I reported the spam and they promised to look into it.

3 days later I have over 100 more e-mails. By now I'm pissed and I delete them. So I called and they promised by that weekend it would all be fixed. I checked by that weekend and had over 200 e-mails. I was angry and just said " f-ck this ..." and quit Hotmail. I never went back.

No clue how or why I got so much spam. A friend of mine had the same problem and he too ended up throwing his hands in the air and leaving Hotmail.

Was it a free account? Maybe they're deleting those of us who have had a free account forever instead of upgrading :(

It was a free account. But I just got a letter today asking me to send all this information to the Yahoo! customer service department in response to my letter I sent last week, so hopefully they'll be able to go in and restore my information. ;) Even though I just created a new account. And for the record, I never had a problem before with Yahoo at all until last week.
