Hi Folks,

I’m a radio producer and my editor asked me to do a show on “Superheroes in New York” and I thought it would be a cool idea to come here and solicit ideas from you guys, see what the experts think of the interaction between City and Hero. (Plus, I was never a Marvel guy). We’re interested in a couple of things:

1) The actual, physically real places that show up in the comicbooks (52nd & 6th, the Brooklyn Bridge) and why they’re important to the hero. I know the skyline is in almost every book, but does anyone know the address where DD got run over? Or where Stark Tower is? Stuff like that.

2) What is it with New York and superheroes, it’s like they’re bound at the hip or something. I know Stan and everyone came from here, but I want to know how NYC shaped the heroes and the heroes shaped NYC.

3) And anything else you think I should put in the show . . . feel free to pm me too

Thanks so much for any info you can give me!

There was a show on the Travel Channel last year about NYC and superheros... never saw it but it definately would be helpful.
