What's with all the ads in Marvel books this week? The new Captain America has 22 pages of story and 25 of ads; 26 of ads in Daredevil (not counting covers).

Corporate greed just gets uglier all the time.

(I just answered my own question, didn't I?)

i just brought this up under another topic recently. actually, join the club. the past few weeks there's been an odd dozen topics on this.

but hopefully the end is near. a few weeks back on joe fridays on newsarama, when asked about this quesada said they'd be doing something about it soon, didn't say what though.

today, i picked up monsters on the prowl and flipped through it (haven't read it yet), and hopefully quesada kept his word about doing something about this soon. there were still a lot of ads, but they were all at the back. i'm not sure if you've been reading the marvel monsters one shots this month, but they all have a main story and a back up reprint. anyways, in monsters on the prowl this week, there was only one 1-page ad in the main story, one 1-page ad between the main and the back up, and then the rest were all at the end of the back up.
i think that's a great solution. pick up most magazines and they do the same thing. a lot of ads in the front/back, then an ad between each article. this way marvel could put in 50 ads and i wouldn't care, i can just flip through them to the story.
