The Black Gate arc continues. Probably the best fight of the issues I read this week, bar none. Sure T-Bolts had a neat "putting all the pieces to the puzzle together" feel to it, but this? Just pure adrenaline rushed action. even a hint of an Advent Children influence in the fight pacing, which was neat.
Julia Diggers, arms-master, monster slayer, master of the Shun-Leep style of martial arts against Zero, expert killing machine. He's buying time so that the man who he's in debt to (Gothrain, archmage of the were-rat clan) can pull of a lan of his own, Julia, simply, is out for revenge. Zero just recently killed Gar, her student who was like a son to her, and there's a neat twist to the conclusion at that. Next issue wraps up the Black Gate arc, and it should be a heck of a ride.
