This one kills me because it's such a big release week: There will be no podcast this week. Sorry, folks.
My computer monitor had to be sent out for repairs. I won't have it back for 5 to 7 days. It would take a Herculian effort to get things set up and running on another computer, so I'm just going to take the week off.
It'll be back next week, though it might be later than Tuesday, depending on when the monitor returns to me.

Too bad about your monitor. Good luck with fixing that.
If you'd already conceived and typed out a top 10, I probably wouldn't mind reading it here. Otherwise, just enjoy your podcast free week.

I never even got that far, to put the Top Ten list together. Maybe I'll make one up this week to post here, and maybe run through it superquickly on next week's list.
Or, perhaps next week will be such a dead week that I'll just combine the two weeks.
All is possible.

That's okay, Augie, I'm too busy to listen to it anyway this week.
Basketball season gets underway with our Selection Day on Saturday, and the prep is still being done.

At the rate things are going, we may miss another one this week. Doesn't look like I'll be getting the monitor back until Tuesday night, at the earliest. If that's the case, it'll be a day or two late, but it'll go up. I'm determined to get one back up and running this coming week, dagnabit.
My monitor, sadly, just stopped working. I had about a 50/50 chance of it turning on, which got frustrating after awhile. I was going to wait until it died completely, but then it wouldn't respond to my pressing the POWER button and I knew it was time to bring it in. . .

Mine is still functional, but it has The Wobble, which makes it very hard to look at it for very long periods of time. I've already tried all the software fixes for it, consuted 3 computer witch-doctors, sacrificed a goat to the god of computers, but alas it may just be its time (finally). At the same time, my CPU fan works only intermittently, my hard drive is making funny noises, and I can't even describe in message-board friendly words what my CDRW is doing. In short, it will cost me less to replace this computer than fix it. But the goat thing bought me a few more weeks...if the tech guys can't fix your monitor, try that. ;)
Unfortunetly this is all happening at a time when I need to write columns and can't because I can't use this computer long enough to finish the work and with the workload being what it is in the office I can't beg off office work to write the column on the office computer either.
Maybe I should just take the hint the universe is tossing my way and take a few months off...

Your computer sounds like it's ready to go to the puppy dog retirement ranch or, at the very least, an Assisted Living Community, where someone can tend to all its ills.
I finally found a regular monitor to plug into my computer. It's awkward looking at this small a screen again, but I'll adapt. I think.
