At last report, it had been pushed back to December, just before Christmas.

Bendis announced at his forum just a day or so ago that the book was finally done and was currently at the printers.

Oh God this series is sooooooooo passe...three months, five months, six months, seven months, NINE months!!! Is Dell'Otto's art really that important that it justifies a nine month gap? It was supposed to be released this month.

Oh well...yet another fantastically built up series by Bendis, (issues 1 and 2 were great), gone straight down the toilet. I can't wait for a 60-page conclusion, with only 20 pages dedicated to the actual story. Thanks Bendis.

Teach Marvel a lesson about professionalism by boycotting the final issue of Secret War. That will encourage them to get serious about meeting deadlines. Otherwise, they will conclude that they can treat their customers like crap without any consequences.

This series STILL isn't over? I got the first 2 issues and quite because of the LOOOOONG delay. This reminds me of that Aliens/Predator book Dark Horse did in the mid-90's that took 2 years to put out 12 issues. I gave up on that one too.

I agree that it is bad there is such a delay. But Bendis is truly one of the most gifted writers around and the story is tremoundsly good so I dont mind waiting. Besides waiting for a severly delayed comic book does not really top my list of things to be angry or worried about. I guess I have a life.

It kinda kills the suspense though. Its hard to remember what's even happening in that story now though. I mean I think the story had something to do with a covert operation of some of the top marvel heroes. I believe there was something bad happening in Latveria that either did or did not have something to do with Dr. Doom. There was some crazy lady at the end of issue four and a prison break before that that either did or did not have something to do with the new avengers breakout. Also, this teamup is either the origin of or has nothing to do with the new avengers. Thats is my synopsis having not read an issue in a year. I guess having bought all four, I am now obligated to buy the last issue though. They hyped this story up as being a big universe shaking event that would change status quo though, the kind they have just once or twice a year, and so far I can't see how it ties into a damn thing other than the pulse which like only two people read. I mean what gives? ....... Honestly, I think if Bendis doesn't hit this one home, they should hand the top writing reins of the MU over to Millar for a while... just a thought...

thing is it's not even a good story. and the art isn't that good either. this is like being a little kid and counting down the days to arbor day instead of christmas.

thik 3rd is right its not a good story it is a great story. Unfourntly it does not have wall to wall action every single page so some people will not be able to appreciate it.
