Dan Slott just gave an interview at Newsarama about his new Thing ongoing series that starts next month.

Check it out! (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/thing/SlottThingThang.htm)

This is going to be one of the best books on the stands. Here's a big reason why:Quote from Dan Slott:
We’re gonna do some three part, two part, and done-in-one adventures—stories that’ll be F-U-N! There’ll be surprises, guest-stars, and a whole mess a’ clobbering! No doom, no gloom, and no dark n’ gritty muckitty-muck. Just superheroes doing superhero stuff and acting like—well—heroes!

Oh, and I was tempted to name this thread "Come See Dan Slott's Thing!" but I figured it might be inappropriate.

I'm more excited about this title than any comic out there, even She-Hulk. But two ongoing titles by Slott at the same time... its almost too good to be true. I swear this guy is singlehandedly keeping me interested in comics.

This comic looks amazing. The art looks great and the stories sound like the will be very old school... I am really looking forward to this comic.

Bah! Male anatomy humour is never inappropriate! Just as Captain Marvel about the "Giant-Size Man-Thing"! ;)

Anyway, thanks for the link! This book looks great! I am really looking forward to it, and like Crimson, I'm hoping to see some of Ben's poker games!

Wow this series sounds really good, Dan Slott is the man, anybody that brings back Black Goliath is ok in my book. Dan will you be my friend? I got some good ideas every once in a while and i'll share cookies

Good God! It's Black Goliath! And Nighthawk! Did Slott read that old "Defender for a Day" two-comic arc in The Defenders WAY back in the day?

Yowza!

Newsarama just added three more preview pages to the interview.

The whiplash jokes made me laugh.

Wow that looks even cooler than I expected. I actually just got the entire run of the first thing series a few months ago for 25 cents an issue. I'm up to around issue 30 so far and they've been really fun to read through. Its making it much harder to wait for the Slott series though, and I can't wait for the issue 25 he mentioned. Thanks Mr. Slott for leaving me in a three year period of suspended suspense... Suspended suspense? can i say that?... nevermind
