The Runaways is one of the greatest new superhero titles/concepts in a long time. They are a group of barely connected teens, sons and daughters of the Los Angeles area's elite in various fields, entertainment, sales, business, science, finance, but truly, they were all evil super villains.

The first in my series of Runaways pics is the son of mad scientist super villains, members of the Pride, he wasn't his father's son. Neither evil, or a genius, he ran away with the rest of the Pride's children to redeem their family names, he is the Runaway Chase Stein: Talkback...

Criticism accepted. Try resfreshing, I've updated Gert slightly. It is hard to do chubby in this style without doing fat... I think I've done better with her arms this time out, less muscular looking. I'm much more happy with her, thanks for the input all.

You know whats funny... RIGHT before I sat down and started physically drawing Chase (I'd put the Runaways cast on my 'to do' list months ago) I debated whether or not to draw Gravity first! Although I may get to him before I finish the Runaways, I'll most likely finish up Old Lace next. She is fun and difficult to draw, what with the dinosaur thing... First I'll probably need to READ the Gravity mini, so I may pick it up in back issues this week.

Now here is my latest pic, and the next in my Runaways series, Molly Hayes, a.k.a. Bruiser (although she prefers Princess Powerful). Molly is the 11 year-old daughter of evil Mutant villains, and members of the Pride. Molly is the youngest member of the team, but her immense physical strength make her one of the most valuable team members when facing combat. Molly is bright, articulate and dealing with her situation as a Runaway very well. Gert has always been closest to Molly of the older children of the Pride, but Molly has since become closer to the others, and reached out to the new member of the team Victort Mancha as well.

The super-strong powerhouse who needs to nap between feats of strength: Molly Hayes is Bruiser!

That is correct! Old Lace, according to Victor Mancha, is a deinonychus, which although a part of the raptor family, is a different dinosaur than the velociraptor.

Well, I could PROBABLY do that one... ok, its been 7 months, and so now I have done her pic, as well as Victor, and Nico...

Here is Nico Minoru, formerly Sister Grimm. She is the daughter of Robert and Tina Minoru, dark warlocks, evil witches whose magical practices somehow linked young Nico to the mysterious and ancient Staff of One, a magical artifact that allows her to cast any spell imaginable, but only once. She was once in love with the Pride's mole, and traitor to the Runaways, Alex Wilder, and was also the object of Karolina Dean's affections. Nico is the current leader of the team and is a strong, yet emotionally conflicted young woman.

Victor Mancha is the son of Marianella Mancha and the android villain called Ultron. An alternate future saw Gert leading the Avengers as simply Heroine, she had fallen for and been betrayed by Victorius, a young hero who Victor would become, after programming from his father activated his evil tendencies. He was thwarted from this reality in our Marvel Universe when their version of Gert time travelled to our own reality to warn her past self of Victor's betrayal. They recruit and save Victor, who fights his dad's programming and becomes a member of the Runaways, using his powers of electromagnetics, inborn as an organic android.

Of course, Karolina Dean, the energy powered, vegan, lesbian, and alien daughter of Frank and Leslie Dean. Karolina is possibly manic depressive, and once mistook her own affections and the friendship between herself and Nico for a blossoming romance. She has only recently returned from space, after agreeing to see her homeworld and hear out her arranged fiancee, Xavin, a young nobleskrull in the Skrullian Super Skrull program (I never thought I'd type Skrull so much in such a short amount of text). Anywho, she has a natural, solar powered luminosity, glowing and givining off colors of swirling energy all over her skin, hair, and in a surrounding aura. She appears to be a normal human rather than alien when she wears a fake medic alert bracelet given to her by her parents. Its alien, metal alloy counteracted her innate powers. Here's Karolina.
