If you go read the newest Basement Tapes column, Casey seems to be alluding to possibly returning to an acclaimed yet unfinished work in the near future. The only guess I have is Wildcats, which for some of you, is probably pretty damn exciting, no? Not sure how this fits in with the Morrison/Lee sereies in the works.

Is there another book that he might be talking about or doese Wildcats seem like the obvious choice to everyone else?

I was running down the mental list of former Casey titles when I read that, too - there are lots of possibilities, though.

WildCATS is high on the list, but that's already been announced for relaunch with fairly high profile creators, so I dunno about that. Taking a peek at the WildStorm U after WildCATS: Nemesis and Captain Atom, I can't see WildCATS going back to where it was at the truncated "end" of 3.0.

He's also worked on X-Men, Cable, Hulk, I think Spider-Man, Superman and Majestic.

Then there is always Codeflesh and Automatic Kafka. I can see another Codeflesh GN, but not Automatic Kafka.

Oh I like the current writting. Would be cool to have both of them writting. Casey would have him doing crazy stuff and it would make sense.

I completely forgot about Automatic Kafka. No offense to Mr. Majestic/Wildcats fans (I never read either), but a return to AK is very appealing, especially if Ashley Wood is in tow again.

Definetly fits the critically acclaimed/ended before it was done mold.

Of all the titles on the list of work he's done, I'd bet AK is the very LAST one Casey would work on again. It's over. It had an ending. Not the one I'd like to have seen, personally (that would have taken a lot more issues to get to), but there is definitely a large PERIOD at the end of that run.

Casey is a smart guy. If he wants to come back to AK and do some things he didn't get to the first time, I can see him finding 100 ways around the ending of volume 1. If there's one thing that publishers and by extension, creators, know how to do it's bringing characters back if there's a audience with money asking for them.

AK is my #1 choice right now for the book that's coming back, with WildCATS in 2nd place.

I'm not seeing Majestic, but only because I feel that Casey scratched the super cape itch with the Superman work he did, but we'll see.

Not excited yet, but definitely curious.

I think he's gonna do a sequel miniseries to the Intimates. The last issue left some stuff hanging.

Oh man, I am praying for either a return to Wildcats or Majestic. Either of those would be guarateed seels for me.

I'd love to see him be able to do more of AK, Wildcats, or The Intimates.

a return to Majestic? why not. WildCATS? uhm....

no offense to the corporate v2 and v3, those were some really well written comics. i loved the fact that it had so much depth to it, it was a highly original story. but too much of a good thing spoils it. i'd like to see something other than corporate stories in WildCATs'

Wildcats v.2 was not a corporate story at all.

well, it was heading that way. that's when 'Jack' inherited Halo.
but still, i would like to know where it was going. but maybe the open ending was just fine

Personally, I like the sci-fi stuff from the original run and the corporate stuff from Wildcats Version 3.0. Hopefully, Morrison will find some way to combine those two in a satisfing way.

or maybe he'll bring in something completely new, which is highly unlikely seeing as how 3.0 had an open ending

Other options could be Kiss Comics, The Milkman Murders, a sequel to his recent horror GN, or even a follow-up to his Avengers mini-series. Shoot, maybe even another intimates series, like a mini-, since that's what the original was intended to be.
