i recently acquired the complete WildCATs collection and i must say that when i got to the issues where Choi started his run as writer i was deeply disappointed. this dude can't write for crap.

he did the same to the wildcats as he did to Gen13 during his run as writer: start a time travel story. just as with gen13, this time travel story sucked. although it was nice to see Hadrian and Yon Kohl dssing each other, the majority of the story was just plain sad. and to think the story arc before that, about the gang war, was so cool.

no more brandon choi stories. please.

I haven't read much of his work, but I was deeply unimpressed with the stuff I have read

Apparently Choi and Jim Lee are child hood friends. So read into that what you will. I wonder if he went back to practising law.

While Choi might not be... very good at all, he was really the right writer at the right time. Back in the early 90's Image days, Choi had only one task: to write things for Jim Lee to draw. All he had to do was provide a context for the drawings, and avoid taking attention away from the art. In that capacity, he did a great job.

Of course, his style might not fly today, but for the time, he did a good job.

I remember seeing the picks of Jim Lee`s Wildcats the first time and thought this was going to be the most craziest, innovative concepts ever and when I read it I felt like X-Men Redux. Very light, shallow writing.
