Hey,

I read Batmans No Mans Land a while ago, both the comics and the book, and recently after seeing the movie and reading batman begins - it brought up old memories of that book and got me thinking about what made me like it so much!

anyways, long story short it really came down to a city in total mass destruction cut off from the rest of the world and people having to survive on nothing. What im asking here is for any, any at all recommendations of other books (if there are any) like no mans land. Im not asking for another superhero book just an every day fictional book where people have to survive off what they have.

thanks guys!

A coupel to come to mind (my apologies ia haven't read the Batman work in question)

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Dhalgren by Samuel Delaney

Earth Abides by George Stewart

Another recomendation and although not exactly "surviving of nothing" would be Jeffrey Thomas's SF/Horror collection Punktown.
