Got it today and enjoyed the heck out of the reprints. I had to sell the originals a few years ago.

It was like a breath of fresh air, even though they were reprints. Such a contrast with today's comics.

You know, it's funny, I remember reading the original issue with Captain Amerikat and thinking it's kind of cool how he and Spider-Ham knew eachother in both their IDs and seemed pretty pally, and it was too bad they could never really function that way in regular continuity.

Flash forward to Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man...

This was a pretty fun book... $5 was a hefty price tag but what can you do?

Tom DeFalco's new story was very clever involving everyone. Sure it doesn't really fit into continuity (It even mentions it in the story) but that was a tiny thing and I can let it slide.

Out of all the recent Giant Sized books I came out happiest with this one.

Okay, I'm going to have to check this out next time I stop my my local shop. I didn't see one last week or I might have gotten it then.

Is this an 80 page book?

I'd glady pay $5 for every comic I buy if it meant getting 100 pages worth of good material. Heck, I'd settle for 50 pages.

The Arana story surprised me in that it actually made the character of Arana seem somewhat interesting, something all sorts of reviews and previews (not to mention the comics themselves) have failed to do.

This was also the first Peter Porker story I've ever read. Never cared much for the idea when I was a kid, but reading it now I loved it. The bit about Americat wearing his shield under his clothes cracked me up ("I have a very good tailor!").

Spider-Man 2099 wasn't as bad as I remembered it. I still doubt I'd ever buy a regular comic featuring the character, though.

Overall, money well spent.
