From January's DC solicits (on the main page):
JLA CLASSIFIED #16
Written by Gail Simone
Art by José Luis García-López & Klaus Janson
Cover by García-López
A harrowing new story arc begins when Wizard Top Ten Writer Gail Simone (BIRDS OF PREY), José Luis García-López (DC SPECIAL: RETURN OF DONNA TROY) and Klaus Janson (BATMAN: DEATH AND THE MAIDENS) team up to send the World's Greatest Super Heroes to an emerging nation torn by revolution! The dictatorial reign of the warlord General Tuzik is brought to a halt when the JLA, acting at the request of the United Nations Security Council, storms the General's stronghold. Unfortunately, Tuzik bends the rules of international law - and escapes the free world's grasp - to initiate his greatest act of terror: creating a Justice League for his own country to help bring the world and its heroes to their knees! Who - or what - is the Hypothetical Woman that enables Tuzik to create his own twisted League Against Justice?

Gail has done great work with what little she's done with various members of the Justice League. I'm really looking foward to seeing what she does with all of them.

I've been looking forward to this. Gail wrote Wonder Woman so well in that BoP where she was helping to train Dinah. I bet this will be great.

It's about time that the Justice League had a good team. Simone and some super powered artwork.

Perhaps the issue is that folk just don't want to work on JLA...

I am looking forward to this. Garcia-Lopez has long been one of my favorites and I always enjoy Gail's writing. I really liked her take on Batman (and he didn't even speak) in the recent BOP. Please tell me he's in this classified run.

Wow! Yay! JLA Classified is one of my favorite new series, I love the idea of giving each creative team it's own little miniseries with the characters. The plot sounds intriguing, will this be a 3 or 6 issue arc? Either way, yay! Again! Gail Simone writing Wonder Woman... ooo.

If the JLA: Classified story kicks all kinds of ass, would you consider a regular writing gig on the JLA series if it were offered to you, Gail?

I'm definitely looking forward to this, though I have to say Klaus Janson - good though he is - is not who I would pick to ink Garcia-Lopez.

I kinda scratched my head at that, too. It'll be interesting to look at, say the least.

Kick-ass! Plus, I can now get my Gail/Supes fix after her Action run ends (even if only temporarily)!

Yeah, it's more or less a match of stylistic opposites - Garcia-Lopez with the clean lines, subtle shading... Janson with his rougher lines, heavy on the shading...

Sometimes different styles can work. For example, Tom Palmer did a fantastic job inking Byrne back on a couple of MARVEL TEAM-UP issues (particularly the Living Monolith one with Thor, Havok and Spidey). That's one of my very favorite books pencilled by Byrne. But this one... sounds more like Gene Colan + Terry Austin.

I dunno. Maybe it will be great. Guess we'll see.
