Hello to all who might have come here from the article on CBR's front page. Please feel free to join in and post on any subject (or make up a new one!). This isn't a clique, we're delighted to have you, and criticism is just as welcome as praise.
I only ask that everyone try to be polite, even if your points are important to you and someone mightily disagrees.
It's a great board with great people, hope you stay a while and say goofy stuff with us.

I've been on the boards a little over a year now, but I typically don't check out the column boards.
I do want to say, Gail, it was in part your work on Villains United and especially Action Comics that got me to pick up monthly comics again. I'm really sad to see you leave the series so soon, and I think DiDio is making a mistake by having you and John only do a year.
TO be honest, I realized I had to pick up your Action Comics after I read the Sacrifice issue you did. The discussion between Martian Manhunter and Lois absolutely nailed those two characters, especially the line where Lois says that Clark always gets Oreos just in case J'onn stops by.
At least i have the VU Secret Files to look forward to. I don't think any other writer in comicdom could have made Catman such an amazing character. I mean, Catman of all people...

Spot on about Lois & Supes...treated as an actual loving couple with all the flicker tingles of natural chemistry and being in love, rather than having false issues and plot devices to create false tension.
Gonna miss Gail's Lois & Supes?! :(

Kyuubi ate it all. I saw him standing at the fridge firing one can after another into his gaping maw.

Lower front pocket, in a zipper pocket. Thieves will have to work to get my wallet. ;)

Hello, I'm a newbie to CBR (lurked for awhile) I'm more involved at other boards. :)
I think its kinda sad you're leaving Action Comics since I too enjoyed your depiction of Lois and Clark's relationship. I think there is a tendancy to depict "the wife" in comics as a shrew (or worse) but you (as well as Rucka and Verhdien) seem to reall get why Superman loves her.
I haevn't really read alot of your other work, but from interviews you seem like a cool person. I found you site on "Women in refrigerators" to be rather interesting, as well as the creators' responses/excuses for it.
I hope to see you on more Super-titles,would prefer whipped cream to a wedgie, and carry my wallet in my front pocket where I can keep track of it. I think that answers all conversations. :p

BOP brought me back to comics. I live in Kenya now so I can't buy them in a store, but Amazon and the miracle of graphic novels have gotten me to fall in love with comics again. This may be an old question, but what are you reading right now that you enjoy?
Thanks for what you do. I'm an old guy, and you make me proud not embarrassed to be reading comics again.
