I like how the article points out repeatedly that gnomes are fictional and therefore not offensive.

Dwarves are fictional, unless they think "little people" all have long beards and spend their days in the mines. Hell, thanks to their physical deformities most can barely lift their arms over their heads, let alone weild a pickaxe.
