I'm going to hold off with my vote. It's too early in IC for me to be able to judge.
Although, Joe Q's latest interview, in which he revealed that House of M is really just a tool they are using to get rid of a huge chunk of their mutant population, kind of took something away from that crossover in my eyes.

As opposed to Crisis, which appears to be a tool to just kill a bunch of characters. Although really, all I'm saying is that they're both going to serve a similiar purpose.

It is slightly easier to "opt out" of HOUSE OF M while still enjoying some MU comics than it is to do the same with INFINITE CRISIS while enjoying the DCU's output.
So . . . I went with Marvel on this one.

There's a big difference between "appears" to do something vs. confirmed as fact by the companies big cheese.
As for what I chose it's really early since only one issue of Crisis is out as opposed to 7 in M...but I'm a DC whore so go Crisis!

I went with Crisis...it's just more appealing to me.
I stuck around with HoM until #4...but something just didn't click. I dropped it. Sorry.

In a similiar vein, the HoM minis for the most part have been far more enjoyable than the Countdown minis. And several of the crossover books, such as Captain America, Hulk and Wolverine have been top notch. To the point where I am more looking forward to what Way is going to do to Nick Fury than the last issue of HoM.

This may sound a little strange, but I disliked every Infinite Crisis related limited series, liked the Spider-Man and Fantastic Four House of M related limited series, but I still voted for IC bases on the fact that I enjoyed the Countdown to IC and the first issue of IC more than I have the House of M books. Whew.

If you can edit a poll, it could be nice to have a "I'm not reading them both" option. I've wondered about that myself -- how many folks are bi.

Waiting for the trade of HoM.
Hate to waste money on a crossover that sucks and the few issuse of house makes me want to wait.
on the other hand can't wait to see what happens to the D.C universe!

I'll wait to see where Crisis is going. If it's used to reinstate the DC multiverse, then I'll probably like it better. If it's just another big stunt that promises to "redefine what a hero is" but ends up merely killing characters and imposing some stupid rules like "no more time travel" or "little magic allowed", then it'll just be another Millenium, Legends or Hell on Earth. This early in the game, although I love the return of the Big S, I must say that the retconning of Maxwell Lord and the death of Blue Beetle are not good signs.
As for House of M, it could have been a simple but amusing alternate-universe distraction ą la Kulan Gath universe, with the added benefit of Hawkeye's return. But from what Joe Quesada said on Friday, it sounds like a rather clumsy way to force changes on us (and to finish destroying Morrison's legacy on the X-universe, despite the enthusiasm that Joe had manifested for it in the begining).
Generally speaking, I hate company-wide "events". They never seem to reach any true storytelling goal, despite their probable positive impact on sales. Even the well-crafted original Crisis turned the rather simple concept of Earth-1 and Earth-2 into an undecipherable mishmash where we have four different Hawkmen running around, probably as many Supergirls, and God knows how many Legions.

Infinite Crisis is better because DC has been planning it for a long time, whereas House of M was started as an afterthought.

Oh, no...I didn't mean to say that Crisis was better. I just don't know yet.
I had a little bit of difficulty following some of the first issue of Crisis, so I want to see if it gets clearer. If it is all about killing characters, then I won't be pleased with it either.
But I'll still wait and see.

I voted for House of M because you can totally make out Quicksilver's wiener on the cover of #7.

What he said.
I'm reading some pieces of Crisis merely because they happen to fall in books I already buy, such as JSA or Teen Titans. Other chunks of Crisis I'm buying because I like the characters (Power Girl) or the writers (Gail Simone). But for the most part I'm ignoring the Crisis as much as possible and counting the days till it's over and gone.
The sum total of my exposure to House of M has been to verbally shred some really bad covers over on Suspension of Disbelief (http://comicfacts.blogspot.com). Marvel is quite welcome to continue cranking out House of M, provided they keep it the hell out of Spider-Girl.
With the right music to the atmosphere, neither is that bad of a read.
But yeah, I'm indecisive like that.

Okay. Lemme weigh in here.
I can see all the reasons why these big intercompany crossovers bite balls.
I really can.
But I'm a great big huge hairy continuity munky and there's nothing I like better than seeing all my favourite heroes in one comic. Comes from when I was a kid and I was only allowed one comic... one comic? Aieee! which to choose?
I always chose the team books (JLA, LSH) or anthologies (Adventure) because well hey, more heroes, more bang for your buck. Besides, I was kind of contemptuous of Superman and Batman. Been there, done that. There were TV series and cartoons and lunchboxes for THAT stuff.
I wanted guys like Green Lantern, The Flash and Hawkman. Dudes you didn't see plastered all over your screens. Hell at that time, these guys weren't even in The Super Friends.
And if I saw JSA members... well, boy, that was ALL she wrote!
(Have you noticed I might be a little bit of a DC fanboy here? Thought you might.)
So yeah, when Secret Wars first came out, I went wa-hey! And grabbed every issue. And then, what? Spidey had a new suit and She-Hulk was in the FF for a bit... but so?
You mean all that hype and NOTHING happened?
For my money, Infinite Crisis is pushing all the right buttons. That it sprang from Identity Crisis which had at its core a brutal rape and murder still rankles, but to my ten year old mind, if you're gonna have a big story where all the superheroes fight all the supervillains... something should happen.
And I'm hoping Mark Waid is right, and these knuckleheads who want Superman, Green Lantern and Aquaman to be full of gloom and angst wake up to themselves and realize that improbable musclemen in multicoloured spandex maybe isn't the best venue for existentialist meanderings.

Just finished HOM 8 and my vote is going for IC - which in one issue has excited me so much more than all of House of M.
