Alright, here's the lowdown. I know absolutely nothing about ABC and Wildstorm comics. But I'm very interested. I'm so very tired of Marvel and DC characters and repetitive storylines.
A few years ago, I found Vertigo. Something original. But I NEED MORE! haha. But seriously, what's good in ABC and Wildstorm?
I like Superhero comics, but it has to be original. I'm also completely open to other comics.
To let you know some of my favorite comics, here's a list:
Transmetropolitan
Preacher
The Watchmen
Dark Knight Returns
What's some good stuff??????
Edit from Mod: ABC/WildStorm is too cool for "n00000000b"

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, from the ABC banner is pure gold.

I really like LOEG, although it has recieved a lot of the flak from the movie.
That is all I read from ABC.
Now Wildstorm:
Sleeper: without a doubt a recommendation
Warren Ellis' Stormwatch and Authority: you may remember this guy from Transmet.
Authority Revolution: Brubaker roxxors
Desolation Jones is a curren title that I am enjoying...Ellis again.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is excellent, as is Top Ten
Promethea swings back and forth between fun superheroics and lectures on magic. Some people think it's fantastic, and it is good, but your mileage depends on how much you can stomach lectures on magic.
Tom Strong is a fairly lightweight retro style pulp/superhero hybrid. It's good fun, but Moore writes it in his sleep
Tomorrow Stories has some good stuff (Greyshirt, Jack B Quick), but a lot of the strips don't really work.
Over in Wildstorm,
Sleeper
Ellis's run on Stormwatch
Ellis and Mark Millar's Authority (but only after Stormwatch)

Ex Machina by Brian K. Vaughan is great. Planetary is pretty good. And don't miss LOEG and Top Ten. Sleeper looks great too, but I haven't read it yet.

Sleeper is awesome. As is its prelude Point Blank.
Joe Casey's work on Wildcats, Automatic Kafka, and the ill fated Intimates is great too.
Planetary, Top Ten, The Authority, Adam Warren's run on Gen 13 and Warren Ellis's run on DV8 are all solid reads too, especially Planetary, when it comes out.
The Establishment is a good read too, and most likely located in your local comic shop's discount bins.

The man mentioned he likes superheros but nobody mentions Astro City? For shame...
Everything else everybody's mentioned is deliciously good, too. Top Ten is my first pick from ABC, though.

Planetary. Best of the lot. And there are three trades so far.
Ex Machina is extremely good too. First trade is out.

Second trade came out a few weeks ago.

Good point. I never think of it as a Wildstorm book because it's not in the Wildstorm universe (and none of the trades I have even mention Wildstorm on the cover), but it is pretty much essential

I'm trying to get into Wildstorm myself. I'm going to use the Captain Atom mini-series as my starting point. Hopefully it's friendly to new readers.

For me Divine Right: The Adventures of Max Faraday is good.
WildC.A.Ts & WildCore is also good. Then again, I'm more into old school than new school.

Top Ten
League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Planetary
Ex Machina
Astro City
I also recommend not reading Wildcats 3.0, which I found to be really crap.

I liked Wildcats 3.0, but for my tastes it peaked in Version 2 with the Serial Boxes trade

It's pretty friendly to new readers, but it already made a few small continuity fumbles, which worries me.
