I thought Allstar Batman and Robin was going to be like drawn like that.

Well, it is drawn by Jim Lee, but it doesn't look like that.

Robin is much younger. And no yellow circle with the Bat symbol (and I like it that way).

Well, with his current art in AS&BR, i think Jim Lee tried to be true to the time setting of the story.The attached artwork above is kind of a modern take on the duo.

Is Jim Lee trying to ultimatize Batman & Robin? Whatever hes doing it looks good. From the looks of it, it looks to be the cover of an future issue of ASB&R.

Now that's what I call artwork. The way the costume is drawn makes it believable that there is enough armour on B&R so they survive all these super villains. I think more comics should be drawn with that in mind. It not only makes it look cool, but also believable.

I definitely like that look better than the official asb&r costumes. its nice to see the yellow oval.

When the All Star line was first announced, this was used as promo art. Way back in January, DC was still toting this thing as a "re-invisioning" line similar to Marvel's "Ultimate" line.

As the line progressed, its focus became telling iconic, classic stories free of continuity that are true to the mainstream's perception of the characters, thus the new costumes were tossed out and the classic costumes were embraced.

yeah i've seen it. think its pretty cool so is the flash,GL,wonderwoman and superman ones.

the only thing that i don't like about that is that it is too "strappy" otherwise i am really into it.

That's fantastic artwork. Not really in sync with the All-Star timeline though.
I hate that freakin' yellow symbol too. Batsy looks much better without it.

That's some great artwork. After seeing those DC should seriously consider ultimizing the DC universe. The Ultimatize Titans look awesome.

That looks sweet, screw All-Star gimme some Ultimate JLA written by Mark Millar and some Ultimate Batman by Jeph Loeb

PS Why does Donna Troy look like a total ho-bag and attention whore? And if only Robin would lose the full face mask it would be the coolest Robin outfit ever.

I really like the modernised costumes from the preview art, but I do not care for All Star Batman and Robin at all. It is awful. Frank Miller has lost his mind and I never really liked Jim Lee's artwork.

Those costumes might be used. Back when ASBR was announced,Lee said something about eventually modernising the stuff.

I dont like being able to see Batman's ears through his cowl though.

I guess I'm one of the few who thought the designs and many of the ideas of that Wizard article were crappy. The art is nice, the designs even, but the redesigns for the characters are just ok to crappy to me. Plus I don't think we need an Ultimate DC. I think the All Star idea is good. Well, good in theory. Not a fan of the Batman one so far as much as I usually love Miller.

i like the ultimate superman. yeah thats all the ultimate dc artwork i have on my comp as well. theres probly more tho so try google image.
