I just got back from Fallcon, the only weekend comic convention in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area. I got to talk with Terry Austin, Marshall Rogers, Adam Hughes, Tom Nguyen, and others, and I sure came home with a haul, all for fifty cents (or less) each. If you're interested, read on:

Marvel Two-in-One #72 (yay Inhumans!)
Spectre #7 & Superman: Man of Steel annual #3 (yay Mignola!)
the last seven issues of Robinson's Starman
Atom Special #2
Justice League America annual #4 (JLAntarctica)
Kamandi #s 35, 37, 38
Doom Patrol #33 (Morrison series)
Suicide Squad #17
Green Arrow #s 10-14 (Smith/Hester series)
Rawhide Kid #s 123, 120
Demon #s 1-4 (Matt Wagner mini)
I also got a Dick Tracy book with art by Kyle Baker for $.99, the first X-O Manowar book ($3), the first Hitman book ($4) and Lazarus Churchyard ($6).

I realize these aren't all classic, but it was a huge thing just to be there and get stuff signed. I had a great discussion with Adam Hughes about realism, naturalism, and dynamic/impressionistic art in comics and I even won the Golden Age Sandman toy.

This convention averages about 3000 people. Is this some weird little podunk thing?
