Has anyone else read this 5-part story from McFarlane's Spider-Man run? I just finished and really enjoyed it.
What else did Todd McFarlane contribute to the Spider-Man universe, and what was really good?

Perceptions was a high-school literary magazine that I worked on, so yes, I've read that.
This one, don't recall. But McFarlane did a lot of stuff artwise for Spidey, and he was writing one of the four nineties Spidey books for awhile. Which gave us Demogoblin, for awhile. ;)

If I'm not misaken, McFarlane brought about Venom and Carnage, did he not?
Any idea where inthe comics (in terms of issue #s and series names) these two had their origins?

Mcfarlane wrote & drew "Torment" a 5 part Spider-Man VS. Lizard story I really enjoyed. There were also 2-part Hobgoblin, and Morbius stories.
His art on Amazing Spider-Man has been collected in the Spider-Man Visionaries: Todd Mcfarlane trade paperbacks. The Venom stories are the best.

Mcfarlane designed Venom. David Michelline came up with the idea. Michelline later created Carnage, who Mark Bagley designed.
Amazing Spider-Man #300- Venom
Amazing Spider-Man #361- Carnage
