Hey, folks.

The JLA/JSA board is going away.

Traffic is down, thanks to a variety of factors, so Jonah, Matt, Jim, Paul, and I have decided that the best course is to merge JLA/JSA with the DCU forum. I'm not entirely sure when this change will happen, but it should be relatively soon.

I've enjoyed my tenure with this board, and I'd like to thank you all. I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of posters.

Thanks,

Dave/Expletive Deleted

There are no plans for a GL board at this time. The number of GL posts on this forum do not warrent it. Of course, everything is subject to change at a later time. :)

And remember, like good story concepts and characters, nothing goes away forever in this business. If a day should come when JLA/JSA discussion returns fast and thick to CBR, a new iteration of the JLA/JSA Forum will emerge.

Until then, however, consider this the new CBR home of JLA/JSA discussion.

Because of a spoiler from JLA 119: The JLA disbanded, so the mod was making a little joke about the timing of getting rid of the JLA/JSA board.

I have a feeling the Infinite Crisis board is taking up the bulk of the DC and JLA/JSA- related posts these days. I have a feeling that post-IC we'll see a new JLA/JSA board. (Let's hope it gets a better reboot than Power Girl did).

Thanks for all your work on the board ED.

Darn it, I liked the JLA board. You could actually still express opinions.

You were a great mod ED, thanks for the cool threads and awesome posts and reviews. *sigh*

I'm surprised the traffic has gone down with Infinite Crisis, JSA being the best team book on the market and the JSA Classified series with Power Girl (and her boobs) being spotlighted.
Awesome job ED!

Thanks for the great work!!!

Yep, definitely gonna miss ED's efforts, and there being a separate JLA/JSA board not moderated by a particular one of the DCU/IC Board mods.

What is this, guilt by association?

Personally, I'd love to see a GL Forum but the current posting levels on the subject don't justify the creation of a separate forum.

That's the discussion you want to carry over from the JLA board?

;)

Nothing of the sort, I just liked having an on-topic board -- about the Justice League, no less -- where if you didn't like something, you were free to actually say so without worrying whether your post would mysteriously vanish. I mean, seriously, there's an entire board for "Infinite Crisis" but people are only allowed to discuss certain aspects of it, which seems to entirely defeat the purpose of having an entire board dedicated to it.

But whatever.

I'm gonna miss the JLA board. I was just getting into JSA stories, as well :(.

Actually, I was responding to Jeffrey's comment. I'm more than happy to take the lumps for my own actions but I'm getting a little tired of people being miffed at me for something Paul does.

When I take moderator action, I don't consult Paul and when he takes moderator action, he doesn't consult me. Each of us is responsible for our own actions. But neither of us should be blamed for the other's actions.

Instead of cramming all these books onto one board, why not put the teams "DC Teams Board" on one board, and the solos "DC Solo Board" on another? It would make the boards a bit more useable, while still cutting down the number of overall boards.

Fair enough. I assumed, since you've been publically quiet about the matter, you agree with the recent rules and Paul's decisions. If that is not the case, my apologies, and please regard my comments as only regarding Paul.

Captain Jim

Well, let's not read *too* much into that comment. I *do* think there was a need for *something* to be done to keep CBR from tuning into the "bitch about DC" forums. Trying to narrow that down into a set of "rules" is a more daunting task than many folks realize.

Whether I do or don't agree with each of Paul's decisions is immaterial, in my mind. I respect him as a person and I respect his position as a moderator, and I recognize that he has the right to make decisions as he sees fit. He probably hasn't agreed with everything I've ever done either.

The point is, we don't have some kind of a "hive mind" here. While we're in general agreement as far as the big picture, we will each make decisions as we see fit. And he's responsible for his decisions and I'm responsible for mine.
