Ya know, I'm loving Powell's covers for this retro-Marvel Monsters stuff, but his interiors in the Devil Dinosaur did nothing for me. I think I'm getting so used to his various pencil techniques in Goon that to go back to seeing just straight pencils/inks isn't working for me.

I love what Eric is able to do with his pencil work (with various ink shades also) in Goon. He's really cranking up the heat and creating some wonderful stuff in that comic. Having someone ink Eric's pencils like any normal comic just seems like a huge step backwards IMO.

Haven't seen the Devil Dinosaur stuff so I have no comment. Although perhaps a really great inker could do wonders for his pencil work.
