never read it,wanted to try....need a comic where i can start off on and not get bogged down by endless continuity that i never read before. I know there is one that came out or is coming out that will allow new readers to get in.

Green Lantern Corps seems like a good place to start. I picked it up with next to no knowledge and understood it fine.

#1 came out a couple weeks ago, I believe, there might still be a few copies at stores.

Go straight into Corps. Recharge is not the place to go if you don't want to get bogged down in continuity :)

Also, DC Showcase Presents Green Lantern came out last week - over 500 pages in b&w of Green Lantern stories from the beginning of Hal Jordan's career, all for $9.99. Very good value for such cool stories.

GL: Rebirth explains everything you need to know about all things Green Lantern pretty well. And its a pretty fun story to boot.

Recharge is GL Corps mini, Rebirth is the story that your thinking of, but that one still summed up who, what, when, where and why of the GL Corps pretty well, Especially tying together all the continuity of Hal, Guy, Kilowog and the GL Corps

Sorry, I meant *do* start with Recharge (the Corps mini), steer clear of *Rebirth*, the continuity-strangled miniseries.

You could just start with Green Lantern #1. It's not hard all to pick up the history of the characters... and if you have questions you can ask us. The first 3 issues of the series were so-so... but I loved #4!

I'd start with Rebirth, and work my way on. It's not that hard to figure things out. And, as mentioned, there's always plenty of helpful posters, here, to help you with questions. :)

The Green Lantern FAQ at the top of this message board will also answer pretty much any question who've ever had about GL and its characters.

Here's the latest version...

You could probably just jump into the GL series now, but i imagine as it goes on it will become more bogged down with history. Corps is looking good but you never know with that as well

I think GL is for Hal Jordan fans while GLC is for those of us who like ALL the GL's.

Yeah, but it's already been announced there will be an ongoing by almost the same team (Gibbons and Gleason) after it's over. GLC: Recharge is basically just the prelude to the Green Lantern Corps, which picks up a year after Recharge ends.
