So I'm listenin to the radio yesterday and the lady is like " Scientists have found that cursing is actually good for you as it helps relieve stress...".
I myself curse whenever humanly possible and there are other ways to help relieve stress i.e., going to the gym, listening to music or weed. How do you de-stress yourself?

Hey, you're right, I do feel less stressed out! :p
Edit: oh ya, I curse like a sailor 24/7 too!

I was walking to school (where I am typing this right now) and I met a friend. We were walking here and we talking about assholes when, suddenly:
COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!
My friend then said, "Cock a doodle doo to you, BITCH!"
Then I said, "Cockadoodle, mofo (I said Mother****** actually)."
Then we were talking about how we are going to kill that shitty ass chicken when he told me that if you kill one rooster, the rest will kill you. I flung Mountain Dew up my nose after that.
NOTE: You are right! I feel happier!

It makes sense to me.
I never understood why swear words are discouraged by teachers and parents among kids. The way I look at it, swear words shouldn't necessarily be frowned upon, because they facilitate a certain kind of personal expression, just like all elements of language serve a specific function. If you need to use an adverb, you don't use an adjective, do you? If you slam your finger in a door, you don't say "Oh, fudge" you say "God damn it!!" I don't think we should teach kids NOT to swear, we should teach them to swear properly.
What good does it do you to bottle up your rage by not expressing yourself? Then it just comes out in inappropriate ways. I would rather everyone walk around swearing than everyone walking around punching each other. Every functional adult I've ever met swears, so it should just figure that if it serves its purpose, swearing is fine.
Three fucking cheers for swearing.

it makes sense as a stress releaver in an archaic fashion. however, studies show that people who use vulgar language constantly have a limited vocabulary

You sir have made a unequivocally preposterous statement, and I find no prudence for it at this juncture. Ergo, it's utter BULLSHIT!!! :p

I beg to differ, I actually have a pretty sizable vocabulary and I curse all the time. I think thats partly due to the fact that my father always cursed and it just became second nature to me.
But as far as I'm concerned, I think cursing is just slightly more expressive than some words are, sure there are words with long winded definitions that could work just the same, but there are times when a good "MOTHER FUCKER!" just says so much more. lol :D And besides, whats the big deal with having a large vocabulary anyway? If you can get your point across without trying to sound condescending or intellectually superior to others, people will relate to you far better.

It goes without saying that anyone who uses the same word or type of word over and over has limited linguistic abilities. I stand by my statement that everything in the proper place is the best way to go.
BTW - You spelled "reliever" incorrectly. ;)

My point exactly. Use the BEST word for the situation. Sometimes the best word is "fuck".

I have a good list of vocab. You on the other hand...
You don't swear, and yet you can't type and you spell right, and you don't look good.
Bye.

Hard to successfully cut someone else down for poor spelling/grammar, when yours is lacking... in the very post you're using to diss the other person.

Oh, I am deeply sorry for my lackluster abilities to create a strong reference to thou's absence of grammer abilities. We are all not indeed perfect, but even I know when thy lacks in all groups of skills.

Built up stress can be detrimental to your health, and can also lead to insane shooting rampages. Go ahead, cuss and get it out of your system before you kill someone.

(I'm an ass) When I was a kid, that last word was considered profane. We got in trouble for using it.
Actually I still think this is the case, but just in Black families I'm familiar with.

Well, I know a lot of people who use ass.
And the guy who says that "Oh, fudge!" is stupid, here are some words I don't like:
"Oh, carp."
"Gosh darn."
"Holy cripes!"
"Mo Freak!"
"Dummard."
"Poopiehead." (childish)
"Golly geez!"
