Sears, mostly. Though you can get some at JC Penny. They also run Blue Light specials on do-it-yourself kits at K-Mart.

Rumor has it fly on the wall came from a local 5 and Dime.

Read for the enjoyment of the story. Collecting comics for profit isn't the best way to make money

If you're looking for back issues and want to make sure someone isn't ripping you off you can check out http://comicspriceguide.com/ . But right now some of DC comic's Infinite Crisis related issues are way overpriced.

oh and http://www.wikipedia.org/ has tons of entries on comic books and comic book characters. should be a good a place to find information about comics you haven't read.

Heck no, I don't plan on selling them. But I would like to know more about the things I own.

I mean...I buy the comics that one of my friends calls "girly." (Fables and the like.) Of course I'm buying them for the story.

Usually near the start or end of an issue will be a small area of text call the "indica." It usually lists the date which the issue was published and where it was published as well as other legalise. It also sometimes says whether or not the issue is a second or third printing of the comic.

How do I know if someone is trying to rip me off?

Here's the deal.
The value of a comic is what you value it at. If you are willing to pay $5 for a comic, then it's worth $5. If you're willing to pay $200, then it's worth $200. Simple.
If you buy a comic for $5 and get $200 worth of enjoyment out of it, well done.
If you buy a comic for $200 and get $5 worth of enjoyment out of it, then maybe you should be a bit more careful with your bread, man.

Read your comics.

Oh, and it's OMAC Project. Olmec Project was that follow-up to Aztec Ace that Doug Moench never got around to.

Pól Rua tells a native tale:

Prequel, actually.

Let's face it, you're just out of your hemisphere, here. :p

I think that may have been part of the Toltec Eclipse crossover.
I bow to your superior knowledge, though.
I heard you were an Inca on that run.

I choose to disbelieve that particular statement. Going by CBR, the best comics on the market are New Avengers, every crossover, and boobs.

Dan Apodaca forgot to make a point:
