I loved the "movie" version of the guy they made for the Spider-man 2 videogame. I thought that worked great.
I'd much rather see him show up than Venom.

He would work for his realistic science fiction properties such as his illusions.

I think Mysterio would work fantastically for a Spider-Man movie. This is a guy who's powers are SPECIAL EFFECTS, after all. :)

Mysterio is my favorite villian ever!
He's my least favorite Spidey-villain. I just find him hilariously pathetic compared to his peers. I think well, the Spiderman 2 game version of him was really excellent, but he was mostly used as a comic relief subplot than anything. Which is what suits him.

Comic relief didn't suit him when he jacked DD's world and then put his brains on the wall! WHAT ABOUT HIS DYSTOPIAN NIGHTMARE?!

i've always though Mysterio woul dmake a great movie villain. and his origin would barely have to change to stick him in the movie.

So true...capes are extremely important.
I think he would be too much alike with scarecow to release him in a movie just after BB. Maybe farther down the line though. Still, I've already seen an illusion spewing badguy recently, dont need another. I think Marvel understands this.

Well Venom is a good excuse to use really awesome special effects, but people unfamiliar with Mysterio could get a good twist at the ending I would assume

I would like to see a real sick and twisted Mysterio in a Spider-Man film, make SM think hes killed people and make him think that MJ is seeing someone else (would mean he knows who SM is) you could really get him rocking SM's world.

i'd love to see the costume in the movie unchanged, but i don't think it'll go over well with all the movie fans. it is a bit dated and weird from a non-comic reader perspective. i think he's costume really looks great though. in a perfect world they wouldn't change it at all.

that would be the best way i think. almost like he's last arc in DD, Guardian Angel(or atleast thats what i think it was called). really insanely convuluted and operatic. something to show he's got a thing for old movies and old fashioned special effects. plenty of good ole smoke an mirrors.

Ditto! I think he's gonna need a modern day make over though, just like GG.
