That city slicker Warlock raided my closet full of funnybooks from the 70s. He's so jazzed on all the monster titles like Tomb of Dracula, Dracula Lives, Tales of the Zombie, and so on, that he's doin' a retrospective for the month of October:

Marvel's Haunt of Horror (http://www.photontorpedoes.com/archives/marvels_haunt_of_horror/index.php)

Come check it out if you remember these books.

That was a fun read! Thanks for posting the link. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it had to end, lol. I'll be looking forward to reading the rest. :)

Thanks, warlock has updated it with more memories of Dracula. This weekend may see a Jack Russell retrospective.

LOL. I didn't get the Terrier joke when I was a kid reading this series.

Werewolf By Night: California Gothic (http://www.photontorpedoes.com/archives/2005/10/werewolf_by_nig.php) is now up at Photon Torpedoes Haunt of Horror section.

Thanks for posting the link. For a simple run down of the vintage series theres some nice tidbits of information.

I actually really like the photo montage at the top. The Dan Berenton Morbius is very cool.

Theres one Neal Adams cover for "Dracula Lives" that used to be a poster in the late 70's - I've been searcing Ebay for a long time to get my mits on a copy of that.

Actually, that is not a Dan Berenton Morbius (althought I certainly see the similarity). It was the cover to Vampire Tales #3 by Luis Dominguez. I think in one of the letter columns it says that John Romita touched it up, the female looks like a Romita woman.

See that cover and my Morbius memories here:

I know what you mean about that Neal Adams Dracula Lives #3 cover. God, I wanted that poster so bad when I was a kid!

And now...Man-Thing. Gotta collect all the jokes about Giant-Size Man-Thing. God, I love that title.

I have a Giant-Size Man-Thing.

What? I meant that I have a copy of the fourth issue of that series. What did you think I was talking about?

I really do have a Giant Sized Man Thing. Its actually number one. I don't know why but I have trouble fitting it in alot of boxes. The only ones it does fit in are the horribly warped and mishappened ones, those are ugly though so I usually just keep it laying out for all to see. I'm pretty proud of it and its in good condition.
