Here's a challenge. If the Legion of Superheroes had continued numbering (without restarting several times), what issue would they be on?

Would that include the Adventure Comics run? and the occasional back up that appeared in Action Comics and Superboy?

Somehow I knew you couldn't resist this one! :D
That depends, as I am not familiar with the Adventure Comics issues. Were the LoSH the main characters? I.E. were they just a backup? If they were a backup, they don't count. But if they were the main story, it's cool. :)

They began their first run in Adventure Comics #300 as the lead feature before eventually taking over the entire title so it would count. I'll get back to you. :)

Excellent! I'm curious about this.
And thanks for taking the time.

Taking into account the Adventure Comics run, Superboy/S&LOSH/LOSH (v2)/Tales of the LOSH (excluding the reprint issues), LOSH (v3), LOSH (v4), Legionnaires, (The last two including their zero and 1,000,000 issues), Legion Lost, Legion Worlds, The Legion (Plus TT/Legions special) and LOSH (v5) I would say Issue #10 would be #550 if it was a continuos series. :)

With some help from the GCD, and without looking at previous posts in this thread:
313 + 64 + 127 + 38 + 10 = 552

OOH 2 extra! What'd I miss?

But to put things into perspective a bit, if Wonder Woman and Flash had not been renumbered after Crisis, both those series would be well past #500. And Justice League of America and Green Lantern would both be approaching #500 now if they hadn't been renumbered.

It looks like you included a lot of stuff that I didn't include (Adventure Comics, Legionnaires, Legion Lost, Legion Worlds etc.) and left out the issues of Superboy that didn't feature Legion stories. So I'm surprised that our totals are as close as they are. :)

That is pretty cool. I ought to get little stickers and put those numbers on my Legion books. :D
And would TT/Legion special count as part of the ongoing series? Not an argument, just curious.

I think so...Especially as it includes the Legion preview.

Yeah I took it from when the Legion "officially" took over the title which was Superboy #197. Before that there was the occasional backup story. I also didn't include the Tales of LOSH issues that reprinted the Baxter series which were #326-354. I guess they could be included...

Don't forget the Cosmic Boy limited series and Legionaires 3 :p
That's another 6 or 7 issues right there.

Y'know, I've wondered, but never bothered to check it out. Thanx!
BTW, Mr. Newell,
It was announced this morning, that there just might be a 4th installment of Austen Powers!
