A swirl of dancing monkeys descend gracefully from heaven. They remove a folded newspaper-hat from a secret compartment in a passing wagon train.
The year is 1843 and ruta has magically been transported to pioneer times. (She is dressed like Laura Ingalls Wilder-- and appears to be greatly confused.)
The monkeys place the newspaper-hat on rutas head. The wagon train stops and all participants being shootin' and hollerin' and singing "Happy Birthday."
Suddenly, HG Wells appears in his time machine-- he grabs ruta and disappears!
(She is seen briefly in 1922, crashing a gated party.)

Jonell makes the best.birthday.word-pictures.EVER!! And the weirdest. (I always wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder and live in a cabin with waxed paper windows and make cookies with the "special" white flour and sugar at Christmas. Monkeys never came into the picture, however).
Tad, you are a treasure too. :) (and blush-inducer!)
And Petersen: omigodomigodomigodomiGOD! THAT IS AWESOME!!!! Oh my how I laughed. That's just fabulous photoshopping right there. Where did you get the Right Cake of Doom from?
I think I *will* treat myself to a medium double-double with a double-dipped (or a danish) at the Timmy's today. And now I have Suzanne Vega stuck in my head. :p

Nobody is late because I won't really be celebrating my birthday until tomorrown night with beer and friends and beer and then again on the weekend with my family. And perhaps a beer. And a cake, which I shall mow down as per JT's instructions (and you make me blush again). If it's a DQ ice cream cake, as I'm hoping, it should look especially zombie goo-like when I'm done with it.
The chocolatey middle is like braaaaainnnns, BRRRAAAAAAAIIINNNNSSS!!

I was on vacation with the woman's family actually. I really wanted to post and see who'd be available for a drink, but I was good and stuck around the soon to be in-laws the whole time. Hell I can't complain, they took me to the zoo.

Yeah. Her Mom, brother, and her borther's woman flew in from Chicago and met us there. They're all still in Cali, went up to Disney when I flew home Tuesday night. I figured I could skip seeing another Disney park. But I loved the zoo. Sat in front of the Komodo for about half an hour.

Thank you for all the wishes everyone. I did have a blast on the date and I also had a good time with my family. My birthday celebration began the long eating marathon that was our Thanksgiving weekend so I have to stop eating now in preparation for Christmas. :p
