Rich, I just gotta say that regardless of whether Marvel goofed or not, in all fairness the press release ONLY stated that Bendis and Bagley were breaking Stan Lee's and Jack Kirby's record, not that they were now the record holders or that they broke THE record. Another argument could be made that they were talking of creative teams' records, not single creators, which is what Sergio is.

No, but then I hated the book, so that would be why. Thanks for the correction there. Although my point that they never declared Bendis/Bagley as breaking THE record, but rather the Lee/Kirby record stands. :)
