View Full Version : CBR Gathering at Portland Con this Sunday, Oct 9!

Hi all,

There's a thread about this on the Community board but I've been advised that there are some Oregonians here too.

This Sunday is the semi-annual Portland Comic Book Show (www.portlandcomicbookshow.com) at its usual venue, Memorial Coliseum. A bunch of CBR types are going to be there and we're planning to go have dinner in Chinatown after the show. Anyone reading this is welcome to join us! Post a message here or in the thread on the Comm board so we'll know to keep an eye out for you.

Last call! I won't have net access between today & Sunday, so this is my last chance to spread the word. Portland Comic Book Show, Sunday, Oct. 9, Memorial Coliseum, dinner afterward at Golden Horse, NW 4th & Everett in Chinatown. Come & meet Tom Orzechowski, who lettered every issue of X-Men from 1975 to 1992!

Where in Vancouver are you? They're closing down I-5 from SR 500 up to the I-205 merge; all traffic will be routed onto I-205. If you're north of SR 500, budget some extra time.

We'll keep an eye out for you at the show. I should be pretty easy to find - I have really long hair, and I'll be with my friend Kurt in his wheelchair. Say hello! Will you be able to join us for dinner?

I live right off 500 to the south and east of 205 so I should be ok.

Shoulder length blonde hair here and glasses.

Already had made plans for Sunday late afternoon early evening before I read this so probably can't make dinner unfornately.
